Course Curriculum Overview
Had an interest in architecture for a long time. One should have an interest in this course as it requires a lot of dedication. The faculty-to-student ratio is about 1:2. The faculty is topnotch but the number of students is quite less so not much competition is seen. The exams are quite easy to pass.
Placement Experience
The students became eligible for campus placement from the fourth year. The highest package was 2 crores but it was off campus(here it was a person from the IDE branch). If you talk about B.Arch 50 % get placed.
Fees and Financial Aid
Normally, there is no fee hike seen. There are many scholarships provided for the students, especially for the category students. Many loans facility is provided during the admission process. Talking about, to be honest NITs provide campus placement but not what you expect especially NIT Rourkela in the case of B.arch to be specific.
Campus Life
There are many fests conducted during the year. The library gets you all the books that you would need. The extracurricular is also good. The college provides swimming pool gyms etc. There are more than 90 clubs that are run by the students that come under SAC.
Hostel Facilities
The facilities provided are good and up to the mark. The college has everything you would expect. The meal quality is something debatable it is not as good as homemade but compared to other colleges the meal provided here is ok.
Admission
Anyone from the science stream can apply. One could get into b.arch course by clearly JEE MAINS paper 2 exams. Nit gives you an exemption from tuition fees if you fall under ST, SC, Pwd, or Ews category. Also cutoff for category students is less than compared to open category students.
