Remarks

Overall experience of campus is good. Friendly environment in the campus where focus is made on both academics and extra-curricular activities. Students have full liberty to discuss the technological innovative ideas with professors and work on them. The social life is also good. People get to interact and share their ideas among mass groups in the college.

Entrance Preview

One has to clear JEE MAINS to take admission in this college. Admission is based entirely on the JEE MAINS rank. No interview process is followed and a person is directly given admission on the basis of his MAINS performance. I landed up in this college because I wanted to move out of my hometown Kanpur and move to Mumbai or Delhi for further studies so I got this as the best option. I took up this course since I've always been too interested in science and technology. Thus I am happy with the course I chose.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

B.E is good in this college with a bit of research as well. Practical learning is given much importance so that a student can grasp all the theoretical knowledge without any problem. Research initiatives have been taken by the Institute but they are not up to the mark. There are a lot of elective options to choose from like ECE, CSE, IT, Chemical, Bio-Tech, Humanities and Sciences.

Internships Opportunities

Internship is not provided by the college and a student is required to find it on its own. The faculty may help them but it is entirely a student's decision as to where he or she wants to do their internship from. Internship is not compulsory for all the students. But it gives them a better idea of the industrial and practical knowledge. Mostly everyone in Mumbai starts doing small internships from 1st or 2nd year to manage their expenses but after 3rd year end, everyone do a technical internships as it not only adds in their CV but it also gives a plus point in placements.

Placement Experience

4

Placements are provided by college only if you pass a certain criteria. One has to qualify certain exams and tests to sit for campus based placements. I have very little knowledge about the campus selection process but after qualifying the basic tests taken by the college, the no of students getting job letter are about 80% of the students that have qualified to sit in for jobs. Many big companies like Accenture, Reliance, Basf, TCS visit the campus for placements and offer good packages to students.

College Events

4.5

There are a lot of technical fest in college like Tech next, Rubix and Embark. All these fests are organized on a big scale where the average footfall is about 8-10k . The fests are funded by college authorities and big sponsors. The MUN hosted by the literature hub of college is also amongst the one of the biggest MUN in Mumbai.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees is not much affordable. It is a bit expensive with approx 1.4 lakhs per annum but when compared to other colleges, the fees is almost equal. Many facilities are provided in the campus by the college authorities which makes it negligible to look at the expensive fee structure of the college. There are various things we are charged a lot like the development fees, union club fees which are never seen to put in use.

Fees and Financial Aid

College does not provide any kind of scholarship to students. Though certain privileges are given to financially weaker students who are not able to pay their fees, but scholarships are not provided.

Campus Life

3.5

College is very supportive for extra curricular activities and fund most of the activities. There are Inter college basketball tournaments( in which I was a part) and many such tournaments in which the teams from our college participate. Students get ample opportunities to explore their hidden talents. The extra curricular activity has helped me in my overall development as a student.

Hostel Facilities

5

Hostel is not provided by the college. Students have to find living accommodation for themselves on their own. Mostly students rent rooms near the college. According to their budget, some opt for PGs or some rent personal flats. All options are available in the nearby areas. The food in the PG is pretty good. The man who cooks is from north and in his dishes we get the taste of our home so food is not a problem.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes, it has a good alumni network. Alumni meets are held for current year students where they interact with the alumni and gain inspiration from them. This helps in the overall development of the colleges as well as the students. There is a whole new Alumni Association created by the college. They have the separate website for it where through online media the alumni keep sharing their progress, their achievements and their experiences for their juniors.

Exam Structure

Exams is a chill culture. Gap is given in between exams so that students can prepare very well. The labs are hi-tech with all the required equipment. Sometimes the lab schedule gets tiring but it's bound to be in engineering colleges.

Faculty

4

Faculty in this college is very much qualified. All the teachers and professors are well experienced in their profession. Interactive teaching sessions make it easier for students to understand what is being taught and helps them gain knowledge from the lectures. Standard of teaching is very good. Also, doubt sessions are also organised by teachers for the students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Soo ever since kid i was interested in bikes this interest was all for me to take this course , my father is very bike enthusiast and it came down to me , i could easily take mechanical and other engineering cause these are common courses which involves automobile , but since i wanted to follow my passion , i wanted to do specialization in automobile itself and DPCOE was offering this course with great facilities and knowledge providing us a path in this lane of career in this field. According to me curriculum prepares us quite well as they conduct workshop which are relevant to outside world where we'll be working. If there were more practical workshops for us to work on would be great cause automobile engineering is all about practicals rather than theoroticals Professor should try teaching in physical part rather than taking lectures and explaining the concept by just words

Yes there is placement cell of STES which is no different than other tier 3 engineering colleges offering a tier 3 average package depending on who is the recruiter. Students become eligible for campus from 3rd year of their degree. Highest package is something around 55 lakhs offered to a computer engineering student, and average is just like I said for a tier 3 college 5-6 lakhs(above or below). Almost everyone gets placed in the company but some might not.
