Remarks

It's a really good experience to be in this college. Every college has is good and bad sides but I want to focus on good side and I'll just say that the time one spends in this college will never be forgotten by anyone.

Entrance Preview

I appeared for JEE Mains in 2015 and was qualified for JEE Advanced too. DTU is a very reputed name for engineering course after IITs-NITs so I had targetted for DTU if I couldn't get admission in IITs or NITs. There was no interview process for the admission as it is purely based on merit. I chose this course because I always wanted to do engineering.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course structure is pretty good and one can enhance his/her knowledge very well. There is hands-on learning as well along with theory courses. Teachers also give practical examples while teaching theory subjects so it adds to our knowledge as students. We are provided with some elective options too (I cannot recall it). Many research projects are also taken up by the college.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, college does help in getting internships. 3rd-year students are allowed to sit for selection rounds for the internship so that they can join any company for their summer training period. Average stipend is 30,000 per month. I too sat for selection in some companies and the experience was great. It'd help me while preparing for my placement rounds.

Placement Experience

5

Placement scenario of the college is quite good. All major companies in almost all field visit the campus. Approximately all eligible students are placed by the end of the year in one or the other company. Average package is different for every department. Some of the big names amongst the visiting companies are Deloitte, San Disk, Samsung etc.

College Events

5

There is a cultural fest, a tech-fest, a literary fest and a sports fest as well. They happen on a rather big scale. Footfall for the cultural fest is more than 20,000. This year, we had Nucleya for DJ night and the crowd was just unimaginable. College does support these events and they are very well organized.

Fee Structure And Facilities

I took admission in 2015 and my fee is around Rs. 95000 per year which I think is quite genuine when compared to the facilities and education we are receiving in the college. For my 4 years of the course, the fee sums up to around Rs. 3,80,000. For students not belonging from an economically sound background, this fee might not be affordable.

Fees and Financial Aid

No. The college doesn't provide any scholarship. Maybe it does provide, but I have never heard of it. I didn't avail any scholarship. The college doesn't help in getting loans.

Campus Life

4

There are enough opportunities for the ones who seek. There are various societies in the college. Like, I've been associated with literary society for quite some time now. Other societies are also there like Robotics society, Music society etc and they conduct events throughout the year for the students to attend.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

I live in a PG and not hostel. PGs near the college is very affordable and not very expensive. PGs in the nearby area are available in a lot of ranges. Food is also good in my PG.

Alumni/Alumna

My interaction with my alumni has been quite good. Yes, alumni do contribute to college's overall growth.

Exam Structure

Exams here, in my college, is a very chill culture. We do have labs but they aren't that exhausting because of the learning environment there. Exams are also nicely timed.

Faculty

4

The faculty of my department is very well experienced and they are highly qualified. Most of the teachers have done their masters and Ph.D. too. The teaching sessions are quite interactive as teachers mix real-life examples with theoretical concepts. They create a good learning environment for students to easily grasp things.

Placement Experience:

Placements are decent, average package goes from 5lpa to 10lpa. Highest it has went 84lpa in Amazon so far and can for sure grow in future. 7th semester students become eligible for placement drives and companies like amazon, microsoft, newgen, tcs, ibm, etc are major recruiters here. Around 80% students do get placed but you can definitely be among them by refining your skills and maintaining a good cgpa. I plan to go for off campus placements as well as I'm interested in AI related roles but hoping for even better.

Placement Experience:

The placements are fantastic , many companies like google amazon and FAANG companies come here . Although i cant compare it with top IIT s but still a 25 lakh per annum package in CSE is still remarkable. The placement cell is often influenced by Placement coordinator but then DTU takes action against them and debar them from placements . If one does not get placement in DTU. , the DTU tag will obviously be more than useful in after course placements

Placements begin from 3rd year end and go on for the complete 4th year. Companies like ZS associates, google, amazon, juspay etc have visited the campus in the past. Highest package for the last year was more than 1 crore. Avg package is somewhere between 7-9 lpa. 50-60 % students get placemnt from the college including off campus placements. I plan to either start my masters or join a good job if possible as whatever situation arises at the end of my course at this college.
