Likes

Faculty cooperation is nice and very friendly nature.
Faculty is highly qualified with almost 100% doctors.
Campus is very big , beutiful with garden, canteen, shopping mall.

Dislikes

About 2kms from Bhopal Indore highway.
Shops,rental rooms are very costly with low quality nearby areas.
Very far from Bhopal, Indore and sorrounding of the area is a small village with insects in nearby croplands.

Course Curriculum Overview

B.Tech CSE core and specialization, both are very popular. There are about three slots of different teachers for the same subject and like 70-80 students per faculty in one class/slot. Grading of marks for students is relative hence, grades depend on the gradient of students, however, it is difficult to gain an S grade.

Internships Opportunities

I am in my first year so, I didn't receive any internship opportunities yet but seniors get opportunities in Microsoft companies as well, and depends on the person and their cgpa and attendance also, there will be 2 internships for 4-year courses, and might be 3 for a 5-year course.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure depends upon your VITEEE rank and the course you opt for. For B.Tech it is around 8L for a 4-year course without any other expenses like clubs, stationery, travel, and hostel fees. The hostel is not affordable for the middle class.

Campus Life

There is a huge Library on the Bhopal campus. Many books are available there for reading. The classroom has a whiteboard, smart classes, labs, a projector, and free WIFI with slow internet speed. Extracurricular activities are evergreen, many events will take place each year and in each domain.

Admission

The admission process is like we have to register for the VITEE exam and give the exam and if we scored a good rank, we can choose from available options in any of the 4 campuses of VIT University, some students are also entered under the management quota.

After 6th semester you will Elligble for in campus placement and their are many internship and placement providing apps which are connected with our college like Internshala and our college also has own incubation center where students can brings their startup ideas and if they like your startup they will invest on it and student also got chance to get internship on that and got certificate and highest package is of 1.2 cr off campus and Average pacakge is of 5 to 6 lpa and their is basically 85 to 90% placement rate and my plan is to become ai ml engeener and grow in AI area

so in our college 1st year we have 2 semesters and n 2nd year we have 3 semesters and in 3rd year we have 3 semesters so 8 semesters already get completed and students are eligible to sit in placement from 3rd year . You can get internships in 3rd year as well if you have good grades and you are ready to grind . Talking about companies that visit for placements are Delloite , JP morgan Palo alto, De shaw and Co. My plan is to just have good gpa and get job asap

there are not much chances of placement as the student strength has increased drastically, students become eligible for placement from 3rd year, also as per the documentations there are more than 12z companies like hcltech, microsoft etc but not every documentation is correct so the chances of getting placed at campus is significantly low so i am planning to pursue higher studies and opting for gate

Placement Experience:

You become eligible to sit for placements in 7th semester , that is , in your 4th year. There are companies like Google, Amazon, Deloitte, Accenture, Axxela, American Express, BNY Melon, Adobe , Goldman Sachs, Samsung, Optum, Oracle, etc. But in other IITs which are also 2nd generation, more companies (around 50) comes for on campus placements . The highest pay is mostly for Software development and Quant roles. Last year it was around 1 Cr per annum of a Computer Science student which is really great. And the average package was around 25-26 Lakhs per annum. Last year , around 88% of all students including B.tech and M.tech got placed with decent salary.

Life at MITS , Gwalior

Placement Experience:

The Placament in MITS are decent, especially for the computer science and IT branches , with companies like TCS, wipro, infosys visiting regularly. Average packages range from ?3.5 to ? 6 lpa , and some students get higher offer from off campus drives. Overall, the T&P cell of Mits gives every details for the companies coming.

other college i applied were vssut , jaypee noida , cutr, silicon but i choose vit bhopal because i wanted to study outside my state and bhopal was closer . So admission process is you have to give an exam called vitee and to get in to vit bhopal in category you gotta have rank under 45K to study in cse core branch and for AIML branch you need rank under 55K and for studying in Cyber security and cloud computing it should be under 70K . if you get anything above 70k its hard to land in a good cse branch under category 1 fees....Read More
