A college that is worth the campus, but maybe not if you have restrictions on fees

The course curriculum is alright. Can be updated a little for newer computer languages coming out and a better understanding of the computer science needs of today, not its history. This course had Computer Science concepts as well as a look at business studies. The faculty-student ratio is about 1 teacher to 4 classes, so about 1:200. Teachers are well-qualified in their fields of expertise and knowledge. The teaching methods can be much better. Regular PPTs are not effective anymore. Exams are a bit continuous with all the assignments need to be done in the middle, but passing is relatively easy if you study enough.

They provide plenty of internship opportunities within the campus as well as from outer companies. Basic roles that give good experience and exposure for students. Stipends vary on the company and how well they're known.

After the 6th semester, students start their preparations for placements and they happen in the 7th Sem as well as the 8th. Top companies like Google, Amazon, TCS, Apple, and Blackrock do come to campus for placements. At least 60% of students do get placed by the university. Very good packages do come in but for very few numbered people.

The fee structure is high. The fee is 402000 every year. Hiking the fees for no reason (no new facilities) every year does occur here. More money is involved if you fail a subject or have backlogs. The scholarship is rare compared to the total population of the university.

Two annual fests occur, one technical, another cultural. Both are conducted well but the cultural one is better. The cultural one is Riviera conducted around February. The technical fest is Gravitas conducted around September - October. There are a lot of useful books in the library. The campus infrastructure is very good. The average amount of places for extracurriculars and sports can get crowded sometimes. Lots of clubs and chapters of varying types like literature, sports, technical, NGO's in the university.

The rooms are small but enough. There are single beds, 2, 3, 4, 6, and 8 bedded rooms. Kind of hard to get the rooms you want but it is possible, based on your cgpa. Meals are also alright. Can get repetitive but have never been sick after eating mess food. Prices are not worth hostels but not many other choices for PGs next to the campus.

The admission process was fully online. There was no specific eligibility at the time but students were asked to submit all of their previous schooling marks of 10th and 12th. The application form can be found on the main website, vit.ac.in. All latest yearly updates about course fees and application deadlines can be found on this website. The cut off based on your schooling marks is a joint percentage above 80% to 90%. Although it's closer to 85% with the competition today. The admission process information has to be found by yourself. I feel like there isn't enough intimation of the process proceedings.
