Course Curriculum Overview
I personally had a very keen interest towards coding and software development which is why I choose this course. the faculty-student ratio is quite good in VIT Vellore, 100 per cent of the faculty in VIT is PhD and teaching method is also based on real-life applications. Every week in the college we have some or the other exams and the level of the exam is also quite tough
Internships Opportunities
In Vit Vellore many big companies vlike Microsoft, oracle, adobe, and Amazon visit to offer paid internships to the students. We also get projects which are very useful in practical life and the college also financially supports the students with grants if their ideas are out of the box.
Placement Experience
From the 6 th semester we are eligible for the placement.last yaer total 690 companies visited vit vellore for placement big companies li amazon,oracle, microsoft ,adobe visit here ,the higest pakage is 1.03 crores and average is 10 lakhs there is 100 percent placement after completing the degree i am looking forward to get a job as a software developer .
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees structure is completely based on merit if one gets agood rank his fees will be less or is the rank is not so good then the fees will be high every year the fees is raised by some amout ,the college also provide some good scholarships and internships ,but as a first year student i still have not got any job or intership
Campus Life
vit has a large number of clubs and chapters ,there are two fests which are organised in a single year one is a technical fest called gravita and another is a cultural fest called rievera ,other than that they have a very good infrastructure and a three storied library with 5 lakh + books and also we have good opportunities in sports .
Admission
The admission process at VIT Vellore involves online registration by filling out the application form, then an all-India enterance examination is conducted which is called VITEEE the students are required to appear for the enterance exam in their allotted centres, then the students on the basis of their score in the enterance exam are given ranks, according to their ranks in the exams their tuition fees are decided their total 5 fees category, lesser the rank less is the fees, and this is done in the counselling conducted by the college were we can put our preference on which branch we are interested in and based on the ranks branch is allotted, the cutoff scores for the admission vary each year based on factors like difficulty of the exam and number of applicants, there is one more criterion that is one should get at least 60 per cent in physics, chem, math/bio.in order to be eligible for the college, then we are required to visit the VIT site for further details
