Likes

The college provides you with various opportunities to showcase your skills and talents and also provides you with the resources to develop them
Various events and talks take place where distinct speakers come and you get to learn a variety of things.
The hostel life is quite enjoyable and with the diverse crowd out here you can easily get your group of friends

Dislikes

The mess food is bad sometimes and we have to eat in the food court which is quite expensive.
The attendance poses a problem for students who are focused on research, startups and technical innovations.
All other things are quite decent out here and the rest are good

Course Curriculum Overview

The faculty is quite good and are experts in their respective fields. They change their techniques according to the needs of the students. The class ratio is quite good with nearly 80 students in a single class. The exams are quite moderate and you can score good marks if you study.

Class Size: 80Course Fees: INR 170000 per year

Internships Opportunities

The internship offers are quite good and students also get good incentives. The stipend lies in the range of Rs 70,000 to Rs 1,20,000. For first and second-year students summer internships are available where they work with a mentor and deliver projects.

Placement Experience

The students start getting placed at the end of the 4th semester. Almost all the students get placed. Most of the dream companies like Google, Microsoft, Infosys, etc come here and offer lucrative packages. The highest package on campus has been 57 LPA and off campus is more than 1 CR PA.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is nearly Rs 7,00,000 for 4 years. The college has a good placement cell and nearly all the students get placed. The average package lies between 7-8 LPA. Almost all the dream companies come here for placement.

Campus Life

The campus is quite lush and green. You can join various cultural as well as technical clubs according to your wish. The campus also has a big sportorium for indoor games, a swimming pool, a cricket field, a basketball field, a skating rink, etc. The classes are well-equipped with WiFi, AC and projectors.

Hostel Facilities

A hosteller is basically provided with a bed, table, chair and an almirah. The rooms are well furnished and the hostel also has lifts, coolers in each room, a table tennis board, an iron, induction, and microwaves. The mess food is descents, some days it is good, somedays too bad.

Hostel Fee: INR 122000 per year

Admission

Anyone having more than 60% on boards can apply and get a seat in the college. The admission process is quite easy. You just need to fill up the admission form and the admission team will contact you. You can get in as long as seats are available.

The curriculum changes as per the need of the industry norms so that student can attain knowledge about the basics as well as the niche technologies.This is the aspect to choose the course and the lab work and continuous competitions help us with the industry trends. The management could be improved. The frequency of exams help us learn well and difficulty is between easy to medium.

A life in my college.

Placement Experience:

Only skilled or quality are able to get placed. Usually onwards 6th or 7 th semester, students can be eligible depending on the performances. I can do a job if I like to work there. If not, I will do more internships to get hands on experience.

Honest is the best Policy

Placement Experience:

Placements are really great of our college as its avg pakage is of 11 lac from computer related branches. Girls are eligible in second year for inters and for boys its generally from 3rd year because of the reservations.

Chandigarh University: Is it worth the investment?

Placement Experience:

The student become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester. The companies visited per year are approximately 200. They claim 100% placements but in reality they divide students into placement and non- placement batches called tpp and ntpp. If you slip up even once, you will be debarred from the tpp group. The highest package is 53 LPA. The average package is 4.5 LPA. Companies like JP Morgan, TCS, Capgemini, PlaySimple, Cognizant, Nokia, Philips, Morgan Stanley, PWC, KPMG, EPAM, Watchguard, High radius, OYO, Coding Ninjas, Samsung, etc have already came. More companies are yet to come. Since the student intake is too much, placements are really hard to get since there is too much competition. In the end, people get hired in mass recruitment companies and get minimum pay of 3-4 lpa. My plans are apply for off-campus jobs and start working in corporate after the degree. If I don't get a job, I haven't decided what I will do next.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good but I am more looking towards offcampus placements. I will do internships from my second year and in first year I'll make the base. I contacted to some of the seniors they said doing hardwork will definitely lead to a good package.

Placement Experience:

After 4 semester students are eligible for sitting in placements. There are alot of company visiting and alot of them take 2-3 with really good package and some handful with good enough packages of nearly10 lpa and the highest package was i think of in last month was of around 60 lpa . My plans after getting a degree is too work my way through companies to a FAANG Companies

A GLANCE TO MY COLLEGE

i chose this college over other colleges becuase of its reputation , in recent years Chitkara has made its name whether we talk about placements or any other various field, it has a brand value as a private college its a quite good college,this is slightly a new college that is why boards were the criteria to get admission and other colleges i applied to took admission o the basis of JEE mains and i had not scored that good in it that is why did'nt able to clear the cutoff for my required branch, i applied t o Thapar Institute Of Technology, Patiala , Chandigarh University,Punjab, Amity University, Punjab Chandigarh College of Architecture.. i got confirmation from everywhere but just in Thapar i did not get Computer Science, The elegibility criteria in Chitkara is min aggregrate of 60% in jee mains and 70% in boards then there are several cutoffs on which the branches are given to students...Read More

I choose this college because it have a good placement ratio and packages. Here placements cell heads are helpful and teaches us about how to grab good placement.
