CBIT, BE/B.Tech
Reviewed on Oct 3, 2017(Enrolled 2016)

Remarks

The campus is better known for its placements on one hand and for its fests on the other hand, which is not seen in most of the campuses in Telangana. The academic year is divided into two semesters and each semester has a fest, either technical or cultural. The very famous college event in Telangana, "Carpediem", is organized by CBIT. The atmosphere here allows the students to improve their knowledge in academics and encourages them to put their knowledge into live projects.

Entrance Preview

Through EAMCET you can get into this college. and the cut off is really high as it is one of the top ten colleges in hyderabad.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

First of all collage has given syllabus to all the student which are made by JNTU, Hyderabad. Then a routine is prepared by management for completion by syllabus with time. Along with this management pays special attention toward extra curricular activity to improve students inner quality.

Internships Opportunities

Yes ofcourse our college provides opportunities for internship .They provide stipend of around 15000 rs .It was good experience working in the internship .We were exposed to the real working environment.

Placement Experience

4

Although CBIT prides itself on hundred percent placements for the year 2016, most of them were software and IT companies with students from other branches depending on the same. While the 2017 batch's overall results aren't out yet, most of them got placed in reputed companies in and out of Hyderabad. The salary range lies between 3-10 lakhs per annum with the average being 5 lakhs per annum. Although Arcesium offered 15 lakhs, it was the first time the company visited the campus and is expected to visit again. Other reputed companies include Microsoft, Oracle, Deloitte, JP Morgan Chase, Accenture, Wipro, Amazon, Samsung, ITC, UBER amongst the total 72 companies. Almost 60% of the students got internships in companies like Microsoft, ThinkTankers, Deloitte, Capgemini, commscope, GE corporation consultant, Progress software. The highest stipend was from ThinkTankers at 1.5 lakhs and lowest was from Capgemini at 12000. The internships and the jobs added value to the senior's skills while giving them opportunities to delve in an environment where they can move on the path of progress.

College Events

3.5

There are technical fests in the college . Every department has one technical fest. CSE has technical fest named HEADSTART. Other cultural fest is SHRUTHI celebrated across 3 days. One important fest is CARPEDIUM famous because many musical troops come to our college during this fest.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The course fee is INR 112000 per annum at Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology. yes it is affordable as compared to other engineering colleges.

Fees and Financial Aid

The government provided scholarships to those children whose family income is less than 1 lakh and loans are provided by the banks to the college because of CBIT being one of top private colleges in telangana.

Campus Life

4.5

here we dont find that much interest given on extra cirrucular activites and we dont get that much attention to our inner talent

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Our hostel facilities are not so good and another drawback is our hostel is not attached to college or in the college it is at some 300 m distance and we need to walk during lunch breaks it becomes difficult to get In a bus and go to hostel and return back and I would also rate the food as below average so think it's the only drawback

Alumni/Alumna

The seniors in the campus interact well with the juniors and provide useful insights and share knowledge about the placement activities, clubs, providing materials to the students.

Exam Structure

Our exams are fully theory based . Even for our lab exams we will be given set of programs to prepared.we don't have enough preparation holidays so it would be hectic to study. Our college exams are not at all logical and fully theory based.

Faculty

4

Apart from communication skills, the faculty team is qualified and knowledgeable with most of them up to date about the developments and requirements in the continuously evolving nature of technology and are easily approachable. The teaching methods range from traditional classroom teaching and e-learning to seminars and workshops including hands-on experience. They encourage students to set up clubs like google club, information security club, etc in order to incorporate studies apart from the curriculum and organize tech fests regarding the same. The faculty to student ratio is 1:20 with equal importance given to every student. Industry drives are pretty useful from what I heard from my seniors. The only disadvantage is that the curriculum has not changed with few topics that have become obsolete with advent of new fields and topics to explore. Mini-projects are an advantage for 2nd and 3rd year students as they have to make a project using a language or topic that isn't included in the curriculum and the faculty members are always present to guide you through the same.

Placement Experience:

From 4th sem itself students are eligible for placements. Although students get access to paid internships from their 1st year itself, just they need some effort. But as NIAT is yet new and no batch has passed out yet so we still don't have the exact placement percentage rate. But as we are getting paid internships from 1st year itself so it's very evident that placement would also be good

Placement Experience:

No batch has graduated yet so there's no record of placement data yet. But more than 200 students got internships. Also the unique point of NIAT is students gets internships from their 1st year itself. NIAT has connection in the industry also its unique teaching style, this allows 1st year students to get internships. Although there is no pass out batch yet, still many people got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My college course curriculum is outdated .As im studying in computer science and engineering,i wpuld love to study about technological aspects and grow as a software engineering but in the course curriculam they teach my about mechanical workshops,There were no practical experience it jsut understanding the concept with theoritical part . i would love lo code but my college wastes entire time by helping with electricals, meachanical basics. i dont think is it really necessary for me understand in all the feilds they think that student should perform in all the fields as im in computer science and engineering student ,They should teach me more about coding and computer ,how it industries works and how these technology enhacning ,the arenot even explore about all these sectos they only teaching me about fundametals of all the subjects which is never useful for my studies . as i am in final year of btech i thought learning and deepdiving into computerscience and engineering subjects is more greater than learning all sector fundamentals,The area they need to improve is removing some of the oudated syllabus from their ciricullum and enhcing with the pratical experience not to teach only theoritical part. they have to teach all the areas with realtime examples. The timings of exams is very good .we do have 2 mid exams and one semester final exams for each sem and the subjects feels meduim level difficulty

Placement cell is least active.. The highest package is of 8LPA. My plan is to move abroad for higher studies.. The students after completion of 6th sem can sit in placement cell

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements after their 6th semester. The companies start visiting in 7th and 8th semesters. The companies are not much good and are mostly service based. So the placement statistics are also not much good. The highest placement last year was 10 lpa and the median placement was around 4.1 lpa. The placements were starting from 2.5 lpa. The better option for students is to apply for off-campus placements or start preparing for competitive exams
