Course Curriculum Overview

4

This is a 5-year course in which at the end we would be getting 2 degrees, MBA in Tech Management and Btech, so essentially we are saving a year of the normal 6 years that would have taken for doing both B.Tech and MBA separately. MBA here is also well renowned and they have good placement opportunities. The batch size is about 57 depending on the curriculum taken. The curriculum for MBA is pretty up to date in which the college provides us with Pearson textbooks which are a good read, there is an internal continuous evaluation of 50 marks with 2 midterms and mainly case-based presentations and activities which are fun and interactive. The term-end exams for MBA are of moderate difficulty, if a student has attended the lectures and is sincere they would find it easy.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

There are many opportunities for internships from companies like Morgan Stanley, EY, SLB, JLC, and more. The stipend goes as high as 1.5 Lakhs, There are roles for the internship based on the profile of the company and the majors chosen by the student.

Placement Experience

5

The college has good & lucrative placement opportunities with the highest package being around 25 Lakhs per annum and the average package being 10 Lakhs per annum. Many companies like EY, and Nomura often higher around 8-9 students from the college, and other big companies like Barclays, Morgan Stanley, and big 4 also do visit the college for placement. The college also has a 100% track record of getting students placed, so that would not be an issue.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee for the MBA Tech course is 4.5 Lakhs per year, there was some concession and relaxation on payment terms given by the college during COVID which was a nice gesture. There has been no hike or change in fee structure for us since our admission. For our course, we have to do 2 internships one technical and the other managerial. For both internships we have many companies coming to college from Big 4's and top banks as well with stipends going as high as 1.5 lakhs depending on the student's skill set.

Campus Life

5

College life is very savvy and the crowd is very modern. There are various opportunities to connect and interact with other students right from day one as there is a one-week induction process that acts as an icebreaker. There are various marketing, gaming, finance, environmental, sattva ( college fest), student council, MUN & more cells at the college which provide good learning opportunities & engage with other students. The classroom is well furnished and there is no issue regarding any amenities and is located in Vile Parle there are many food joints and places to visit near the college,

Admission

For admission, we had to give NPAT exam in which the cutoff rank was around 800 for CS, 1800 for IT, and around 3500 for EXTC, and MBA Tech courses. Following this, the admission process goes on for around a week in which students are invited based on their rank on their respective days. During the admission day, students + parents go through identification checks and during their slot, they can see the available seats and they can then select the course based on their liking subject to availability. The application form, fees, and dates are all communicated by the NMIMS team and you can reach out to them through their website or their mail. The admission process was very smooth and in fact, fast so there was no issue with it.
