Remarks
You get an opportunity to learn and become a more responsible person. You need to attend classes as they carry marks but you also need to be active and do other things as well in order to learn as many things as possible. It teaches you a lot. Since the infrastructure is shared with other courses also, at times it becomes difficult to get access to seminar halls and other things.
Entrance Preview
I appeared for CAT'16 and got GD/PI call on the basis of CAT percentile along with class 10th, 12th and graduation score. I did my Bachelor in Business Economics (BBE) from University of Delhi and realized the importance of subjects taught here in order to make career in Analytics. Also, the fees here is just 25k for 2 years and the brands like PwC, Barclays, D.E Shaw, EXL analytics etc takes part in the placement process. The student body is very active and the department gets support from its alumni.
Internships Opportunities
Yes, it does provide internship in different fields including finance, market research and analytics and economic research and some of the big brands take part in the process. Average stipend would be 15-20k. There are internship with 70k stipend as well as with no stipend so it depends on opportunity that you can grab but the student placement cell is very active and works a lot for your internship. The students who get into placement cell chosen after voting also get a lot of corporate function exposure being in college only.

College Events
The student body is responsible for managing all the events organized by clubs and committees. There are many events which start from the three-day orientation followed by alumni meet, annual convention, weekly seminars and workshops. Every club organize their respective annual fest and the committees like Public Relation and Alumni Relation work throughout the year. Weekly seminars help the students to get insights about the industry.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees for the whole programme is not more than 25k given that you are not looking for hostel facility. Separate charges apply for the hostel facility. If you do not opt for student body activities, you get a chance to pursue MBA in less than 1lac. This amount includes the hostel charges.
Fees and Financial Aid
Since the fee is just 12.5k for one year, people don't take loan. But still banks give loans for this course. Since it is part of Delhi University, it does provide scholarship opportunities to students.
Campus Life
Campus is green as well as clean along with facilities like Badminton court, Table Tennis Tables, Gym, cricket, football and volleyball. Various sports events and debates are organized by the student Union and research projects and competitions are organized by the student body as well. Students are given a chance to do a research project under the guidance of teachers. This project is not part of the curriculum. Gender ratio would be 35:65 girls to boys and there are students from north, south and East India.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel is good and so is the South Delhi area. The campus is clean and you really enjoy the environment. But not every student who apply for hostel gets one. You don't get an AC room. The seats are very few and hence students opt for PGs in the Satya Niketan area. You need to pay 5-8k per month and need to pay security amount and the amount is non-refundable if you leave the PG before 11 months. This amount doesn’t include food. The hostel mess is also good. The amount one pays for the hostel and mess is very less and gets a very decent environment to live in with access to wifi and the college library. A single room is alloted to two students and contains two single beds. It is not necessary that your room partner will be from your course. He might or might not be from your course. There are separate hostel for boys and girls. The boys hostel has table tennis tables and a gym. You get an opportunity to interact with people from different courses and the overall experience is quite good. The rent for the PGs vary and it depends on the facility provided. You need to pay more if you want an AC room and less otherwise. The college starts from 20th July and process for the hostels start post 15th August. Then based on the admission number, students get the hostel room. You need to make your own arrangements and the department takes no responsbility for this.
Alumni/Alumna
I got a chance to interact with my super seniors during the orientation. Super seniors came in order to guide us and shared their experience and insights on how we should invest our next two years. Alumni ranging from big companies take part in the placement process in order to recruit talent from the department. Students get a chance to interact with them as they are invited to the department very often. Also, the alumni meet also helps in building relationships with the alumni. Some of the alumni are working at top positions in some companies and the department has a massive alumni base. The senior students help the junior students a lot. As the batch size isn't that big, everybody gets a chance to interact.
Exam Structure
The total marks are allocated into two divisions Internal and External. Internal Marks(30%): Tests, Presentations, Case studies, group activities constitute the internal marks allocation. And sometimes some marks are also given to attendance, it is based on the professor how he allocates the internal assessment. External Exams(70%): Exams are conducted twice every year in the month of May and December. Passing the exam could become a difficult task if you don't score high in internal.
Admission
I appeared for CAT and on the basis of marks scored in class 10th, 12th and graduation along with CAT percentile, got a call for the interview. 5% extra weightage was given to people who did Bcom, Eco(H), Bcom(H), BBE, BMS or BFIA. Any person who had Business Maths/Maths as a subject in class 12th with atleast 50% marks in graduation is allowed to take admission in the course. Also, people in the final year of graduation are allowed to apply.
Faculty
Faculty is knowledgeable but some of them are not permanent. If you like one teacher, there exists a possibility that you might not get to see him/her in the next semester. Some of the teachers are in the department for the last 30 years. They are aware of the skills and knowledge required in the industry and hence use their own methods in order to prepare students for the industry. Some of the faculty members are the alumni.
