Life at Kirorimal college

I was interested in science subjects from starting. Then after 10th, I choose physics, chemistry and math as my subjects. It was then the physics got me hooked. So I decided to pursue it further. Qualifications of faculty All the faculty members hold a master's degree with at least 55% marks in relevant subjects from a recognised university. All the members also have cleared National Eligibility Test conducted by UGC or CSIR. The teaching method is very comprehensive. Teachers start by telling us the importance of the subject and how we can utilize this in different fields. Then they start building concepts of given subjects and lastly, they focus on the applications of the topic they are teaching. The exams are semester system based. First of all, is an internal assessment which includes assignments and small tests. Then there is the practical and semester-end exam. The exam is hard but you can pass with good marks if you focus on the daily lectures and tutorials.

Some of KMC's past recruiters include Bain Capability Network, McKinsey & Company, Boston Consulting Group, Genpact, Tresvista, Grant Thornton Ernst and Young, KPMG, DE Shaw, PwC, Deloitte, Bank of America and Oberoi Group. Companies offered diverse profiles ranging from analysis to research to articleship.

Placement at kirori mal college is good. Companies like D.E. Shaw, Deloitte USI, Ernst and Young, McKinsey and Company, Boston Consulting Group, Accenture, Genpact Risk Consulting LLP, Bain Capability Network, and Tresvista, but also forged new relations with companies like Bank of America, Sattva Consulting, and Mother Dairy have visited 135+ companies offered an average of INR 6.02 LPA. Placement session 2020-21 was a great success, during this session a total of 131 students coming from diverse academic backgrounds got placed via cell. Roughly 5-7% of students get placement. I plan to prepare for the civil service exam.

The DU fee for UG Courses varies from college to college. In kirori mal college the fee for UG courses like BA, the fee is 4,890/-, B.Com- 10,695/-, and B.Sc - 13,690/- rupees. The DU fee for PG programs like LLM Fees is 23,736/-, for M.Phil, the fee is 5,630/- and for the PhD, the fee is 5,650/- rupees. Some examples of scholarships available at du National Scholarship DSE merit UPGS EWS university of Delhi has a 50% fee reduction.

Life on campus is fun and refreshing. We get to meet people from all over India and get to know them. There are many societies in kirorimal college. I particularly like KARTAVYA which is a civil service society. We get to read many books thanks to our library. It also provides 7 kinds of newspapers on a daily basis. There are lots of journals and magazines. Then comes the annual fest, DJ night, foundation day, alumni meet and society fests. Kirorimal college fest name is RENAISSANCE which is usually organized in March month. The college also provides facilities for different kinds of sports like Cricket, Basketball, Football, Volleyball etc. College often organizes inter-department tournaments.

Eligibility criteria are for B.Sc. hons. Physics At the time of my admission, the admission was based on a merit system. You have to fill out the application form which you can get from the official website of Delhi University.
