Remarks

I just love my college! The teachers and seniors are really very good! The campus is vwry clean. The students are friendly. The office staff is a bit rude but its okay. Class-rooms are big and clean. College is very good over all.

Entrance Preview

I opted for law because law is vast, I find it very interesting so I opted for law. To take up law (5 year course) I gave a CET exam and I scored 52/150.Government Law College, Churchgate is the best college in Mumbai and I got this college in the fourth round, it was like dream come true!

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The first semester of the five year course consist of three subjects:- Logic, Economics and English. It just sounds like just three subjects, but its really vast. For each subject we have yo refer atleast two fat books! We have a lot to write and read.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, GLC does provide with internship but you don't get internship in the first 2 years of the five year course so I'm not really aware of the stipend.

Placement Experience

3.5

As I said, first 2 years of the five year course you don't get internship so not aware of it but there is a college group on facebook where they keep on putting placement notices so according to that the job opportunities and placements are excellent. The firms are very reputated ones and pay package is also good.

College Events

3.5

I am a new admission so I don't really know about the college fests/events but there are cultural committees, legal aid committes, etc Our college keeps on participating in ither college fests. Legal aid committees inculde jail visits, workshops and all. There are internation debate competitions too.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Since I come in a reserved category(SC) so fees is really very cheap. I paid around 250 bucks for he whole year. But for general category fees isn't very expensive, its around 6000 so its feasible. Since its a government college fees won't be very expensive.

Fees and Financial Aid

I don't know if college is offering any good scholarship or loan facility not aware of it. But every college has something or the other to offer and since I just joined not aware of it but I'm sure GLC has a lot of things to offer.

Campus Life

4

We've a lot of competitions in our college like the debates, essay writing, moot courts, etc its all amazing. Its really fun to participate in all these competitions as they prepare you for your future. There is no castism or racism in college, all are very friendly and broad-minded. There is no gender discrimination girls and boys both are offered equal opportunities. The college campus is very clean.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

I'm a localite I stay with my family so I'm not aware about the hostel facilites and food. But I do have friends who are staying in hostels, according to their experience the hostels are really very clean with a very friendly crowd around and food is okay not very good but neither bad. There is variety but the taste isn't very good.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network I'm not aware of but the senior students are very intelligent, talented and helpful. They are very well-organized and active.

Exam Structure

We don't have practicals/vivas/projects/assignments. All we have is a written paper of 100 marks. Since I'm in first year of five years course, we've only three subjects and exams are sheduled next week so it isn't really stressful as the professors are really good and the portion was completed before time providing us with useful notes.

Admission

After succesfully passing the CET Law entrance exam, based on seats availability i.e. college intake and applications received cut off will be decided in 3 CAP rounds round I, II, III. Candidates have to fill online forms for CAP rounds as schedule provided. Then the CAP rounds were extended up to IV and V due to technical issues.

Faculty

4

The professors are really very hard-working and intelligent. They are very keen about their subjects and teach us in detail, sometimes even if it id out of the syllabus. They provide us with useful notes and the portion is finished before time and then the remedial lectures are taken for students who got late admsission and for students who didn't understand a particular topic/chapter.
