Course Curriculum Overview
The course is as per AICTE guidelines and all faculties are either from IITs or the alumnus of the college itself. I feel the future is vast in the electronics and communication engg and hence I opted for the same. We have about 10 members as faculties in our department apart from lab assistants and teaching professionals. And there is a maximum strength of 50 students..so the ratio is okay. The faculties are well qualified..but they don't opt for a better teaching method. Students are supposed to study and enhance more subject knowledge on their part. Per semester we have 2 internals and 1 external. The pattern is average..but you need to be consistent with the ongoing syllabus.
Placement Experience
In 3 Rd year..we are eligible to apply for the placement. Companies like TCS, Tech Mahindra, Luminous, etc. The highest package was 18 lpa. Most of our seniors were placed with 5 lpa. My plan is to opt for higher studies.
Fees and Financial Aid
Since the college is governed by the state government hence I feel it is affordable. Scholarships are there for students (University level and central scholarships). University scholarships are for meritorious students and as per eligibility students can register for other scholarships from the government on the NSP portal. Jobs and placements take place in 3 Rd or finals year. Mass recruiters companies come to visit ...and about 80% of the students get placed with an average package of 4 lpa.
Campus Life
The campus and infrastructure is the best part. Annual fests take place along with weekly events(Colosseum, Razzmatazz, Spardha) The books are available in the library. Also for sports and games, we have a large stadium, Courts and rooms which are more than enough to excel in sports. Various clubs and societies are there ... science and literary bureau, robotics club, cultural club, editorial board, alumni cell, logistics Bureau..and many more...
Hostel Facilities
The hostels are good. We are provided with a table chair to study, an almirah and a bed. The food is also good and affordable. We have a good committee of students to decide the menu and quality of food. No PGs are there. All are supposed to live in hostels apart from the day scholars. The hostel process is even much smoother and easy(in fact there is nothing to do..you just come and get allocated a room .)
Admission
The forms are available online on the website. For tech students, jee score is taken into consideration. Streams are allocated as per jee score. The application fee is around Rs 2000. Since this is a state university, reservations are there for students with the state domicile plus other reservations for other categories (ST, SC, OBC). I feel the admission process was smooth and simple hence no suggestions in this regard.
