Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course is very good and there are a lot of opportunities in future if we learn wisely and improve our hand skills. I choose this course and college because this is a central university and it offers 50% internal reservation for its students for Post Graduation seats. The Faculty: student ratio is also very satisfactory. All the faculty members are highly qualified and are prestigious Doctors in different fields. There is a pattern of yearly final professional exams but there in between we have sessional exams also twice a year. And to pass the exams you have to study well enough and the most important thing here is to learn the hand skills. You can get a huge patient exposure here and can expertise yourself as well your skills.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

There is a compulsory internship program for 1 year for every graduating student here. You can get a stipend of almost INR 26k per month. There is a regulatory internship in every department including posting in the emergency ward also that gives you a great experience for your further practice.

Fees and Financial Aid

As this is a central university, the fee structure is very minimal here. One can study paying around only 25k-30k yearly including the hostel fee. Fees hike policy is not as seen and appreciated here in BHU. As well one can apply for various scholarship programs depending on their state residence. Uttar Pradesh students can apply for UP scholarship and this is a very big help and support which government offers to any candidate. Nearly INR 32k scholarships have been received by students this year. One must be very careful filling scholarship forms because if any mistake happened in that, then that may become a huge problem for students and that is very difficult to be corrected and updated here. Campus jobs as such are not offered here but students are paid during the internship period and a very good salary every month once they got to do Post graduation from here.

Campus Life

4.5

First of all, I want to mention here that our campus is very very beautiful and calm, in the evening you can just go out of your hostels and can get a very good vibe during walking around. We have our annual fest "WISDOM" which happens at a very huge level and goes on for 4-5 days. We have got an institute library in the IMS only where we have so many books and journals regarding our subjects and curriculum and we do have a central library on campus. Classrooms are well furnished and we do have smart boards and mic and speakers also. All classrooms are under CCTV surveillance. There are various sports events and sports leagues going on around the year as well we have a central gym and swimming pool services also in our campus only.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostel rooma are good and huge rooms are there but you can have a initial problem getting your room allotted while changing your hostel from one year to another. We can install our coolers in summer time and we don't have to pay for electricity bills. You can have any extra appliance but that is on your own risk. We get a 3 time meal in a day - breakfast, lunch and dinner that has a normal taste but it's okay for your college days. There is no as such registration process for hostels, we all get hostels every year for whole of our course and that too for negligible charges.

Admission

The admission is done through NEET (National Entrance Cum Examination Test) exam conducted by NTA. The application form is released online on http//nta.ac.in site usually 2-3 months before the exam and the exam is scheduled to be conducted on the first Sunday of May month every year. Due to the pandemic, this schedule got disturbed but NTA reassured this from now onwards. The application fee for NEET 2023 is INR 1700 for general candidates, INR 1600 for EWS candidates, and INR 900 for candidates from other categories. The fee for the NEET application will be INR 9500 for NEET aspirants outside India. The payment method is online only for application fees.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course over MBBS , I LIKE THIS BETTER , you're a specialised doctor just after graduating, you're ready for the outside world, to earn money , better career options . About exams, nothing is too difficult if you study properly. Its normal difficulty if you study its easy ,if you don't study its gonna be hard. Notes system should be removed . More tests should take place like fortnightly test . Dissection is a must.
