Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is wide. But the depth is less. IPM helps in becoming a jack of all trades but master of none. The teaching method is case-based. Projects are helpful in developing skills. There are 3 terms per year. Each term is around 2.5 months. The course is hectic with midterms, surprise quizzes and projects. The faculty is good. For the first 3 years, foreign faculty is also there.
Internships Opportunities
Big and established firms come to campus for internships. But most of the Internships are from startups. Many ed-tech startups also come to campus. The majority of the internships are in sales, business development and marketing.
Placement Experience
The placements are decent. General management or marketing/sales placements are more. There are fewer opportunities in consulting and finance. There are no tier 1 firms in the finance domain. Startups visit the campus and take the majority of them
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees are on the higher end. For the first 3 years, it's 4,20,000/year. And for the last 2 years, the fee structure is the same as MBA. Overall 5 years cost around 30,00,000-35,00,000. Fees are hiked year after year. Currently, for the first 3 years, it's more than 5,00,000.
Campus Life
Life at the campus is hectic. For the first 3 years, classes start at 10:20 AM and end at 5:20. Evening time is mostly spent on clubs or doing live projects. Besides this, we have to prepare for the next day's classes. In MBA, class timings are typically less. Most of the time is spent on committees or clubs. Case studies are typically lengthy. There are daily assignments and projects.
Hostel Facilities
The hostels are decent. The hostel has a double sharing of beds. Mess food is also decent. But the diversity of food is less. Hostels are not that spacious. Wifi speed is decent. Most of the time is spent in the hostel.
Admission
The admission process was quite smooth. 1st round is IPMAT, which is similar to the CAT pattern. Then cut-off is released. Applicants who qualify will be eligible for 2nd round. 2nd round is WAT and PI. All the rounds are conducted in May and June
Interview Experience
There was no group discussion. There is a written ability test. The topics are based on general knowledge. In WAT, significant weightage is given to how well the ideas are structured and how well our opinion is conveyed. Personal Interview mostly revolves around past academics and extracurriculars. The interviews are easy.
