Course Curriculum Overview

The faculty: students ratio is 25:55 which is 5:11 which is extremely good for a student who is pursuing his/her course in the production and industrial engineering department. Each student gets a very good opportunity to interact with every teacher easily and conveniently.

Internships Opportunities

Microsoft Google tata steel tata motor birla groups etc many companies provide opportunities with stipends. There are many projects going on bit mesra for example bit plan se launch a satellite which is an extremely good thing.

Placement Experience

During the 6th semester, you are eligible for campus placement. More than 120 companies visited the main campus of Bit at Ranchi. In the case of the branch highest placement in 2022 is 90lpa and avg is 26lpa but in other branches avg placement is 13lpa.

Fees and Financial Aid

Even if Bit Mesra is a gift but still the fee structure is slightly more than other gifts on the other hand category scholarship, state scholarships and merit cum scholarships are also there for good and bright students.

Campus Life

Our annual fest is bitosav which is one of the best fests in eastern Indian universities and other monthly fests are naad for singing dramaset for drama and literary society. A variety of books are there in our library including holy books political books social and traditional books

Hostel Facilities

Each student gets a dual shared room in the first year and after 1st year each student gets their personal room with transportation facilities also. Meal quality and menu totally depend on the students of that hostel as the election is conducted for mess and hostel secretary. The registration process for a hostel is done by Bitwellfare society

Hostel Fee: INR 38000 per year

Admission

The admission eligibility of the course in bit mesra production and industrial engineering is by jee mains examination. The seat in this course is allotted through jossa and csab. Production engineering is one of the best core branches in the bit mesra ranchi campus.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

Placement Experience:

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

Placement Experience:

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

A Genuine Review

Placement Experience:

From 5th Semester onwards student are eligible for internship but from 7th semester they are allowed to sit in campus. Various companies like PayPal, Wipro , cognizant ,TCS ,Genpact ,Amdocs etc. Highest Package this year is 35 lpa and Average Package is around 7.5 lpa. Around 90% of students from circuital branch and around 80% students from non-circuital branch has been placed so far this year. My plan is prepare very smartly for campus placements and bag a very good PPO from are tech based company.

I had NIT Raipur Chemical Engg, rejected it because I didn't like the campus amenities of the same, zero sports facilities, they play Football on a Red Soil literally. I got this in CSAB and hence it was a better ranked college than NITRR, i've heard of people opting a lower preferred branch in BITM over a branch in NITRR such the brand value of the college. I scored pretty avg in JEE 58k rank so wasn't eligible for all the clgs anyhow. Admission process is pretty simple JOSSA and CSAB. Actually This college was in my list but as a last option as i was getting RVCE and BMS few reputed colleges of bangalore but my parents insisted for this college as this college carries a good brand name of BIT,Mesra. Yes, Due to my not so good performance in JEE Mains I did not get the college i was hoping for. A student should first appear in JEE Mains and score a good percentile to get in to this college.
