Remarks
The college is really a heaven for young budding engineers but the management should also start focusing on PGM programmes.
Entrance Preview
I gave Amrita entrance exam and scored about 90% and got admission for CSE dept at CBE campus, I also passed Tamil Nadu board higher secondary exam with 95%
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is up to date, the syllabus is updated every two years and is beyond the market standards. You can expect a huge library that is open almost 20 hours a day and the faculties are open to discussing anything any time of the day. The course structure will also aid research scholars and young entrepreneurs.
Internships Opportunities
yes, in fact, I got an internship along with my job offer during the campus placement. The average stipend during my time was about Rs.20,000 per month. But interns from Cisco and few other companies received about Rs.34,000 stipend per month. The overall experience is good, almost equal to the IIT's.
Placement Experience
The placements are a major plus for the institution, we have companies coming around the globe for campus recruitment. To mention a few companies like Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Twitter among the market leaders in Computer science. Also, we have companies like Caterpillar and so for Mechanical Engineering graduates
College Events
ANOKHA is the cultural event of the Coimbatore campus, we have students coming from top colleges in INDIA and a few from abroad. Other than that we also have a grand Gokulsatami day celebration and Onam celebrations happening every year. Those times are really excellent as everyone would get good exposure for team management and discover their talents.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is a bit heavy, but it is completely worth it. It would cost around 1.6 lakhs per annum to be paid at a single time. other than that the hostel fees including the mess fee would be around 50,000 per annum so that would be slightly more than 2 lakhs per annum on average.
Campus Life
The gender ratio is pretty bad, the diversity is really good. It a mix of south and North Indian students. We also have peers from student exchange programs coming around. The labs are top class and the playground is really extensive. There are lots of activities on the weekends also that would help students indulge in discovering and exploring talents
Hostel Facilities
The hygiene at the hostel and all over the campus has always maintained A class, the mess food is only vegetarian but it is far better than the colleges in the same class. The hostels have 4 sharing rooms for the Freshman year followed by 2 sharing rooms for the second year and single rooms for the pre-final and final years
Alumni/Alumna
The alumni network is organised quite well and we have alumni meetups every year. I also meet a lot of alumni in my workplace. they are pretty well spread in all the areas of work.
Exam Structure
The exam structure is divided into internal, practical and final externals. The score ratio is also divided in a very proper way, the grading system is at a relative level. so they are really interesting. On an average, a 7 CGPA would be considered as a good score to be able to sit for all the companies during the placement process.
Admission
The admission process starts with the entrance exam which is conducted around the month of Jan/Feb every year after the State board exams, once you clear that there will be rounds of interview and you will get admits based on your performance. At first, you will be offered a few courses across the campuses, if you don't get archive your interest you can choose to wait for a second call if the seats are still empty.
Faculty
The faculties are highly qualified and from top universities around the globe. They are accessible around the clock since most of them stay within the campus. A good percentage of the faculties are Ph. D. scholars from renowned universities. The student-faculty ratio is also great.
