Entrance Preview
I took UPTU and got a rank 2173, after my counseling I was offered an B.tech course in Electrical branch . Which I grabbed as It was a good college close to my hometown and I did not want to waste another year trying preparing for IIT.
Internships Opportunities
College did not had any tied with any industry to felicitate student with their internship, This is one area i think college need to improve most. I did my internship from UPPCL and I was not paid anything.
Placement Experience
It's placement is majorly dependent on IT companies like TCS, Infosys, Tech Mahindra etc. With very few core company visiting and offering even few jobs, but IT companies did hire in large chunks(out of 550 in my batch close to 180 got placed in a single IT company, its a huge no considering only around 300 were eligible ).
Fee Structure And Facilities
Earlier it used to have tution fees of around 65000 for year and 40000 for hostel fees, which was kind of moderate given the infra it provide, but i think recently it has risen sharply .
Fees and Financial Aid
I was not aware of any such scholarship run by the college but i guess there was scholarship rub by UPTU or UP government for families earning less than a 1 lac per year .
Alumni/Alumna
College senior were very helpful if you want to organize a party, but were not of much help when it come to well being of juniors, a first year student had to work on at least 10 to 20 assignments for their seniors .
Exam Structure
The exam schedule was a mix of internal and external(40 and 60 % respectively). In each semester for each subject, We used to have monthly sessionals of 30 marks each and out of the three sessionals score of best 2 was selected. External used to be of 70
