Entrance Preview

No entrance exam required but a high percentage in 12th grade is a must. Glc is one of the best law colleges in mumbai infact it is like a brand.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The curriculum of the college is pretty organized as it follows the university provided curriculum. The subjects are well distributed and in a manner which is apt. Law as a field is such that you never have read enough matter on a topic and you are required to undertake detailed research to understand a thing and to find solutions in the most productive manner which is encouraged at our college.

Internships Opportunities

Glc has glc placement committee which regularly updates regarding vacancies for internships and also organizes placement week committee.

Placement Experience

4

The placements and job opportunities are very good. Most of the big firms like cyril amarchand mangaldas, shardul amarchand mangaldas, azb, khaitan & co kpmg and many others come to glc to recruit.Even banks and companies such as icici, jsw, reliance, tata consultancy ltd. And others come to glc to recruit.

Glc has various committees each organising its own set of events. Rotaract club of glc organizes events such as charity sale, monsoon marathon and other fun events. Legal aid commitee conducts various seminars and organizes visits to jail where they teach filling bail applications and visits to juvenile remand home. Magazine committee publishes the college magazine and does all incidental activities . Moot court association conducts moot court competition at all levels. There are many other committees conducting different activities.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Government law college as the name suggests is a government college thereby fee structure is quite minimalistic than other law colleges. If you are in the aided section your fee ranges from rs. 6,000.00- rs.7,000.00 and in the unaided section around rs. 12,000.00.

Fees and Financial Aid

None that i am aware of but one can contact the college regarding the same and the authorities would guide them.

Campus Life

3.5

The unique thing about this college is the gender ratio, you'll find more females than males. The students here are equal in all sense. We just do not have students from the city but from all over the country infact we even have a few foreign students. It's a cultural mix and students get to learn a lot from each. The campus is currently undergoing renovation but is pretty good for a government college. The college also has a sports committee which organizes and coordinates for sports tournaments. Also it has the debating committee. From time to time the various committees organizes workshops on cv making, mooting, drafting documents and similar. Also the cultural committees like the marathi mandal organizes cultural fests and even fun and fair.

Hostel Facilities

Alumni/Alumna

The college has an allumni association which organizes various lecture series. Alumni readily come to college and conduct lecture on current topics. The seniors are also very helpful in our first year we faced a legal issue regarding our admissions and the seniors helped us through. Infact they even guide us through our exams.

Exam Structure

Glc follows semester pattern! thereby two university exams per year. The time table is provided by the mumbai university itself. There is a gap of minimum one day between two papers which gives enough time for revision and it won't be hectic as well. Prac

Reviewed on Apr 8, 2025(Enrolled 2020)

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum specially the first two years focuses more on subjects like history, political science etc and prepares are foundation for law. The curriculum is well inclusive of the practical aspects of law as well as the theory which prepares you well for the real world applications. The course can be improved via adding the amended laws like add in GST to the taxation laws. The internal as well as semester exams are conducted once every semester. The difficulty level is easy to moderate for both. We get a study leave of around 20-25 days before every semester exam to prepares ourselves well.
