- Faculties may sometimes be non-cooperative and can target you to reduce your grades.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because I am interested in computers and coding and have had a passion for computer science since 11th grade. The faculties are well-equipped to take classes for about 50 students on average. The faculty speak good English and are mostly cooperative unless you're unlucky and are assigned a strict professor. There are three exams; two CATS and the final, FAT. In a span of 4 months, you'll have to write these 3 exams along with quizzes and assignments.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees are decent prices for a private university and the cost to study is good when you take the huge campus and all the facilities it offers into consideration. Placement offers will be given to students from the start of their third year onwards. You'll have to mandatorily either participate in an internship or get involved in some other project like the capstone project. Financial assistance from the university's side for research and competitive projects is also provided for talented students who need funds for their work.
Campus Life
There are two annual fests, Riviera and Gravitas. Gravitas is the tech fest where various clubs conduct different events ranging from tech events like hackathons and coding competitions to fun events like laser tag and go-karting. The library is huge with 6 floors. A vast array of academic books can be found here and you can borrow any three books at maximum for a maximum period of 14 days. Classrooms are big and are equipped with smart board projectors and biometric fingerprint scanners to take students' attendance. Some smart classrooms have air conditioning too. Sports facilities are plenty ranging from basketball, football, badminton, tennis and table tennis courts to swimming pools, outdoor running tracks, and gyms, for both boys and girls.
Admission
We had to write VITEEE. It's slightly harder than JEE. Once results are in we will get out ranks and according to the preference of courses we have chosen, we will get the category in which we have been placed along with the course allotted to us. All required information can be found on VIT Vellore's website. Admission was smooth sailing.
