Course Curriculum Overview
I chose computer science and engineering as I wanted to become a software engineer. the faculty: student ratio is nearly 1:10 here. there are many faculties here in vit. faculties here are all doctors who have done many ph.d's in renowned universities. the teaching method is good, and they let you choose your own faculty under the system called ffcs. exams are mostly easy to medium and now the time between exams is too low. there are no holidays after a sem and they are continuously keeping sem after sem without any holidays. it is pretty easy to pass the courses here.
Placement Experience
From the 6th semester, students are eligible for campus placements. many famous companies like Wipro, TCS, Flipkart, Walmart, Accenture, etc. visit the campus for placements. Vit is known for its placements. the highest package for the last year is 1.2 crores and the average is nearly 9 lakhs. 100% of students get placed here.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is divided into 5 categories. 2 lakhs, 3 lakhs, 4 lakhs, 4 and a half and 5 lakhs. Each belongs to one to five categories respectively. it is preferable for you if you get fees in categories one to three. there are no scholarships here.
Campus Life
The annual fest here is called riviera and it is conducted in February. tech fest is called gravitas and it is from September-October. the library here is very big and there are many books and journals available here. classrooms are good but they're not like auditorium ones. they're normal classrooms and don't have any AC. people participate in many sports from vit and they have 2 large stadiums for sports and fests. there are nearly 150 clubs and chapters which is pretty huge for a college.
Hostel Facilities
They have 26 hostels here. 18 for boys, 8 for girls. they have single, double, triple, four, six and eight bedded rooms for students with ac and non-ac facilities. the registration process is quite different here. a person who has more cgpa can take a good room in a better block with their friends if they're multiple bedded. there are pgs too if you want to stay out of college.
Admission
I took viteee exam to join this college. eligibility is 10+2 state board/cbse/icse. I found the application through ads and the application fee was 1100. there were no reservations for the exams. the improvement I'd like to see is fewer people should be taken for admission because there are way too many people here
