Course Curriculum Overview
I chose the course because I am from a commerce background and I want to pursue my career in commerce only. The faculty is very good, they all are very supportive and helpful. As this college is located in a Rural area, students do not prefer the college. Although the faculty is very qualified and experienced and they have different but easy teaching methods. The way they make you understand the concept is what puts them on the edge. The term exams occur 2 times a year. It is very easy to pass the exams though.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees are very nominal as other colleges of Delhi University. The fee is around Rs 12855 for a year. The University do not offer any scholarship or financial assistance but there are many placement opportunities they will provide to you.
Campus Life
So, there are various types of fest happening in our college. All the fests are conducted in April. The fests of the college are not so good as the University funds less as it is an off-campus college. Although as it will be your first fest you should attend it. Also, there are less no. Of books available in the library due to funds. The classrooms are okay but don't have any cleanliness. The sports society of the college is very talented and we ranked in the top 5 last year among the University. There are also many extracurricular activities happening on campus. There are also different societies related to commerce, dance, fashion, art, music, enacts, etc. I m in a fashion society and all these societies are run by students only.
Admission
The admission process was totally dependent on the cut-off prior but not now. I applied at the second cut-off in this college and then waited for further cut-offs but I didn't meet the eligible cutoff as required by colleges of North campus. I am pursuing Bcom. The eligibility criteria are that the student must be 10+2 and score at least 90 in 10+2. The student can apply for admission online through the DU portal http://www.du.ac.in/ You have to pay application fees of approx. Rs 250 to get registered on du website. As I belong to the General category I do not have any idea about reservations. The University can improve the admission process by adopting both ways i.e offline and online.
