BIG ground for playing. A lots of tree for shadows and a big campus for walking.
Our College have Hostels for boys and Girls.
College have big library with lots of books

Dislikes

Machines are old for doing practical labs
College is beside the highroad and station so a lot of noise occurs
mostly the toilets are old and its requires cleaning and maintaining

Course Curriculum Overview

I completed ITI so I choose a diploma to grade up my skills and knowledge. But now a days technical job is more efficient as compared to non-technical jobs. so Diploma is a good choice for me. The faculty ratio is in my department for 60 students 6 different teachers are used for different subjects. Teachers are Well Qualified some teachers are also doing Ph.D. They are very helpful and friendly to us. There is 2 semester in one year and per semester have 2 internals.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 820 per year

Internships Opportunities

Our College gives us several campusing like SUBHROS LTD - STIPEND 14000/-, ITC - 3.5 LPA, BKON- 16000/- PER MONTH, TATA SAMPANN - 20000/- PER MONTH, and different companies are coming for campusing. An internship also happens for us I mean for electrical engineering students its held at the nearest sub-station and power plant.

Fees and Financial Aid

College fees are affordable for all because it's a govt college. College is also supported by all govt and private scholarship schemes, i.e. Oasis, Swami Vivekananda, etc. The college also provides a Student Credit card scheme. College gives Campus for many years in good companies. I also applied to some companies like TATA MOTORS, BKON, SUBHROS, and ITC, etc.

Campus Life

Campus life is good because the college has several departments so there are many students so mainly fest and Holi are take place by the students. We all enjoyed those times. We don't run any social groups but some plans are made may be in the future some social groups are taking place.

Admission

For Entry, You have to Fill up a form called JEXPO(FOR 10TH PASS), VOCLET(FOR 12TH PASS PCM & VOCATIONAL). After qualifying for the exam the counseling process starts then you have to choose the colleges and courses you wanted. Cut Off is varying college to college. BPCIT is an old and popular college so all course cutoff marks are a little high. Application fees are 500rs. And College entry fee is 810rs for 1st year only but you have to pay semester fees direct to the website of the council. Hostel fees are 3000 per month. The admission process is easy you have to choose your favorite college during counseling. Reservation is varying by the cast category ( ST, SC, OBC) its also mentioned in the counseling time.

My Experience at TPI as a 3rd Year Diploma Undergrad

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are good. Big names are associated with TPI for campus placements. But for Computer Science students, very few companies arrive, that too with very less salaries. (not worth it). It is generally reccomendable if you can do a Btech is come college and work on your skills there, your employbility gets higher. Highest package from Computer Science is 20 LPA (off-campus) and lowest package is 1.8 LPA (on-campus). Generally on campus placements range from 2 to 3 LPA.

Best start for a professional life

Placement Experience:

From fifth semester semester students became eligible for campus drive recruitment. And college also started campus drive. As i earlier mentioned that campus drive are not that much satisfying at all during 2012-2014. I was passed out at 2014 & in my time there's only one company came for civil engineering branch except that all are IT companies. For electronics & telecommunication and Computer science student there's lots of scope at that period. Some of them got package of 3.6 lakh per annum which may be the highest package as far as i know during my days. In an average we get 2 lakh per annum package. I just set one campus drive recruitment of Printika pvt. Ltd. which recruited almost 15 civil engineer from our branch. They offered 2 lakh per annum package to all. As a percentage of placed student from my branch is almost 20%. Overall from 2014 batch it'll be 30-50%. Unfortunately i didn't placed from that placement drive as I'm planning for higher study.

BPC Institute of Technology - One of the best polytechnic colleges in West Bengal

In order to get into this college, one has to fill the form of JEXPO or JEXPO VOCLET. This exam is no longer being conducted in written format, instead marks are being taken for class 10th or class 12th, based on whatever yearyou want to get into. The application form is available on the board website WBSCTVESD, where one has to fill the form enter their details and wait for allotment. If someone has a reservation such as SC, ST or a someone is a female candidate, they can pay less during the form fill up process. Eligibility for this course you have to clear an entrance exam jexpo for 1st-year admission and for 2-year lateral entry you have to do ITI or voclet. we can find the form on WBSCTVESD.com on this website.
