Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I got into Computer engineering as I was always amazed at how programming works. Being from PCMB, still i had the interest to be an engineer. Student: faculty ratio has a huge difference. Students are around 10000+ approx. And the facilities are good enough with strengths as we have a huge teachers base for each subject. Teachers are well qualified and have passed various tests by the college hiring teams. The teaching methodology followed is based on the ppt prepared by the head of departments. They are very good and approved by the AICTE. Exams come faster than we expect at the presidency. As it's an autonomous University, it follows its timetable. Anyways syllabus is covered on time.

Fees and Financial Aid

For a student who came through KCET, it's around 97500. They also provide a 10k off if we do full payment at the start of the year (so effectively 87.5k). For non-kcet students, the management quota is around 2.5lakh as I heard from my college from Andra. Karnataka people can avail of the SSP Scholarship. College keeps you updated about the dates via mail. Anyway, I wasn't approved for that due to some personal reasons. Still, it gives a favorable amount of scholarship.

Campus Life

4

At Presidency, we have no shortage of cultural fests and all. They do it very grandly. Last time we had Divine, Ananya Birla, and many other famous people on campus to perform. The college has a large number of clubs. Photography club, coding club, robotics club, Android app development club, Dance club, and many other clubs. Sports are optional. Students interested can join and participate if interested. The college supports students to big levels by students who need training. There are 2 libraries in college with a huge collection of books and journals updated very often. There is one research organization built and run by presidential students. It's named Vikasana. It was able to raise a good amount of appreciation and funds from its great works since it started. But remember if you are focusing on good placements and have the necessary knowledge, the presidency isn't a good option.

Admission

The eligibility criteria are good enough for all branches. Kcet students being below 1lakh can avail the courses depending on what they opt for and the college availability. CSE needs a bit better rank. Non-karnataka people can go through the Comedk exam and join. Management quota is around 2-3 lakhs approx. per year. The application is available in online and offline modes. One can visit the campus and get the application and apply. Or can apply online with simple steps.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is fairly relevant and covers both theoretical and practical concepts needed for academics and basic industry knowledge. Some subjects are updated according to current trends, but adding more industry-oriented projects and practical exposure would make it even better.
