Course Curriculum Overview

My course is chemistry. And it includes lots of chemical reactions and experiments in the respective lab. I am interested in this course that's why I chose it. All facilities are well-educated and they completed their education from a most reputed institution. My exam is on time and its level is quite difficult. To pass the exam I have to study a lot.

Class Size: 24Course Fees: INR 100000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Almost all companies are coming to my college for internships. And they hire students. But I didn't get any internship till now. But I will get an internship. I am doing a self-project on startup models.

Placement Experience

The placement at my college is good. From the 7th semester, students become eligible for campus placements. As I the highest package of my college is around 2 to 3 crores per annum. And the average package is around 20 lakhs per annum. I will get placement from the college.

Fees and Financial Aid

My course fee is approximately 100000 per semester. But it is classified in different categories like for SC/ST and OBC categories and if his parental income is less than 100000 then he will get total remission in his course fee. Colleges provide scholarships like MCM, SBF, etc.

Campus Life

Campus Life is very good. We just enjoy it. The annual fest of my college is UDGHOSH, ANTARAGNI, and the tech fest is Techkriti they are conducted in October, March, and April respectively. All types of sports facilities are available on the campus. And lots of clubs are present like dance club, robotics club, dramatic club, etc.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel facility is good in my college from other colleges. We got a bed, table, chair, cupboard, mirror, fan and 5 charging points. Meal and quality are also good in My hostel mess. For registration, we have to go to the hostel office and fill out the form. Also, it is affordable.

Hostel Fee: INR 50000 per year

Admission

My admission process is in online mode. Firstly we have to make our college preferences and submit these preferences on jossa. Yes, I gave the entrance exam first jee - mains after qualifying this I gave JEE - advance. I found the application form on the NTA site. At that time application fee of JEE- advance was approximately 2700. This admission process is good.

IITK From Sparsh's Perspective

Placement Experience:

So the placements of IITK is so good. As it is one of the top colleges of engineering in india, the placement here are quite good. The Average pakages according to last year stats is somewhere around 22 lakhs. And then the we have branch-wise average Pakages too. The students becomes elgible for interhsip in his/her 5th semester and for the placement in his/her 7th semester. The American Express & Jp Morgon visited IITK and has made 11 and 6 offers respectively. The percentage of students getting placed are high , usually higher than 85 percent. I planned on preapring for UPSC after the my degree.

From 7 th semester students become eligible for campus placement. Many companies visited like nvidia, oracle, optiver, graviton, amazon ,flipkart,Meesho, zomato etc Highest package I know is approximately 1.5 cr internationally. Almost 90 percent are placed.

Life At IITK

Placement Experience:

After the end of 6 th semester, students need to submit the resume for the placements. At this time my senior placements are going on and they are much better. Like on first day half of the batch got placed. All the it sector company are there you can apply for. Highest package was around 2 cr and average was 25 lakhs. 70 to 80 percent of the students get placed, rest of the students either go for the masters or PhD or some other goal. I am pretty sure after my degree completion i would get an average package but I just wanted to be a civil servant.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements starting from 7th semester of their UG program. IIT Kanpur attracts top tier companies accross multiple sectors including tech, finance, consulting, core and research roles. Major companies visit IIT Kanpur like Microsoft, Amazon, IBM, Intel, McKinsey, BCG, ONGC, ExxonMobil, Schlumberger, Reliance Industries,JP Morgan, Flipkart and many more. The highest package came from international offers with salaries ranging upto 1-.5-2 crore per annum for roles in tech, finance and consuting. The average package across all sectors hovers around 15-20 lakhs per annum. The placement rate at IIT Kanpur is typically very high with aroung 85-95% of students securing jobs through campus placements, depending on the department and year. For highly sought after branches like CSE and EE the placement rate approaches 100%. Placement Experience:

The placement statistics of IITK is great. Every year many 1cr+ packages as well as international packages are offered by top companies to students. The placement percentage is also increasing every year. The students become eligible to apply for companies after 3rd year ie. after 6th semester. The highest package offered was 4cr per annum while the average package was 22lacs per annum. My plan after getting the degree is to get a good paying job and start working.

The placements were good. The highest package was 55lpa and avg package was 19lpa. All top tach companies visit here like Google, GS, MS, Amazon visit here. Around 95% of students were placed. I am joining JioSaavn.

I choose this college becouse of its flexible acdemic structure and its great Alum connections. Also this is the best college i am getting according to my rank and my interest in mathematics. I have Applied for IIT delhi in electronics. IIT Delhi is also a great college but when it comes to academic focus IIT delhi lacks there. Also there faculty administratation is so strict. if a student wants to start something or he/she has a new iniative for the college , he/she will face hard time. So I couldn't make it to IIT Roper CSE branch because my jee adance rank is not that great for the Roper' Computer science. So the Admission process here at IITK is not difficult. You just the originaly document which you have submitted in your josa counselling portal and you need to verify it once here usually a couple opf hours work. Life @ IITK

I chose IIT Kanpur over othe rcooleges because of its academic reputation, research opportunities and strong alumini network. I was also able to get seats in other IITs but I preferred IIT Kanpur due to its legacy . I didn't face rejections, but did not opt for some colleges even after qualifying due to lower research output, weaker placement stats.
