Course Curriculum Overview

I chose the course because the content seemed extremely interesting. The faculty-to-student ratio is quite good, I don't know the exact value. The qualification of the faculty is nice. Many are alumni or have done Ph.D. from distinguished universities. The teaching method is great as well. The tests are difficult to pass and the exams took place two times over the semester.

Internships Opportunities

The internship opportunities are quite good with companies like Uber, Optiver, Microsoft, and Amazon coming in with offers. The offers range from 50000 to even 10 lakhs at times. Students take on various projects through profs or in their courses.

Placement Experience

The students become eligible in their 7th semester for placements. The number of offers this year was 1500+ with companies such as Google, Microsoft, and Optiver hiring. The highest packages are usually international offers. The percentage of students getting placed is 70%.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure recently took a hike and after certain discussions were reduced slightly. The opportunity for scholarships is quite good for students who belong to a weaker financial background. There are no such campus jobs.

Campus Life

The annual fest is Rendezvous and annual tech fest is Tryst. Both take place in March. Books are usually available in library and the classrooms are well equipped. Most of the clubs are run by students and the social life is vibrant.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel I stay in is Himadri. The rooms are okay but the washrooms are horrible. Mess food is barely edible. The registration process for a hostel is quite easy and almost everyone gets one. They are affordable too.

Hostel Fee: INR 60000 per year

Admission

The entrance exam was the prestigious JEE Advanced. The cutoff for the course I chose was 1685 - 2500 rank for girls, whereas for boys it was above 1200 rank. My rank was 1685. No improvements as such that I want to see.

From Classrooms to Campus ; my dtu journey

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would say the course curriculum at DTU is quite relevant and comprehensive. The reason I chose this course was the mix of strong fundamentals in the first year—like Maths, Physics, Chemistry, and Programming—followed by department-specific core and elective courses that allow some flexibility and specialization. The curriculum gives a solid foundation for both real-world applications and further studies, especially through hands-on projects and lab work. That said, some areas could be improved, like including more industry exposure, internships, and practical case studies to bridge theory and real-world problems. Exams happen twice a semester (mid-terms and end-terms) and include assignments and projects as part of evaluation. While most exams are manageable if you keep up with the coursework, a few subjects can be challenging, and preparation is key to avoid surprises.

NIT Delhi: A Balanced Blend of Academics, Opportunities, and Campus Life

Placement Experience:

The annual placements at NIT Delhi are consistently getting better year by year where the top branches such as CSE, ECE, and IT are leading the way with their strong placement rates. Many students get hired at very attractive salaries by well-established companies like TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Microsoft, and Amazon. For example, the CTC of the best offers have reached as high as ?15–20 LPA in some instances. The Mechanical, Civil, and Electrical branches also contribute to the university’s overall placement record to some extent. Those students usually boost the available opportunities for themselves by taking up internships and off-campus offers. Moreover, the students who fail to get a job on the campus can still benefit out of the college atmosphere where the strong basics of coding, projects, and practical skills are taught which makes the students quite employable at startups, off-campus, or even when going for higher studies like M.Tech/GATE/abroad. To sum up, NIT Delhi is a very solid foundation for the students whether they want to have a career or continue with their education.

Great Placements but Campus needs improvements

Placement Experience:

After 3rd year students become eligible for campus placements. Almost 90% students gets placed. The top companies are Amazon, Apple, Microsoft, Google and Adobe. The highest package is 53 lacks and the average package is 20 lacs. I plan to become a software engineer after i complete my course or study further.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good. Students get hired, obviously, and they get a decent package. Highest package from our college is 52 LPA. Average package is 7-8 LPA. Highest package off campus is 1.2 Cr. Per annum.

Firstly, IIT Delhi is a platform fromWhere you can achieve anything be it High salary, entrepreneurship, research and higher education, civil services, and what not to mention. We have Indias best labs in educational institutions and we are not limited to the discipline we choose, a physics student can do research in biology or a mechanical student can sit in coding interviews.
