Course Curriculum Overview
I was getting chemical engineering at IIT Roorkee and Materials Science at IIT Delhi. I checked the curriculum of both branches and I found materials science more interesting and also find some good research topics to explore. The faculty-student ratio is also good in my branch. Professors are also available to guide. All Faculties are PHDs doing research in various fields. We can also do projects under them and learn. We have 2 minors and 1 major exam. It's not that difficult to pass if you study a bit the whole semester.
Fees and Financial Aid
The yearly tuition fee was not increased in the last few years but the mess fee was increased recently. Needy students get various scholarships such as MCM i.e. means cum merit, and many alumni offer a lot of scholarships.
Campus Life
Campus life is happening. We have the annual cultural fest Rendezvous, Tech fest - Tryst, and many more fests like speranza, Kaizen, Becon, etc. Rendezvous and Tryst happen generally in march-April. The library has books on every subject. We have almost every sport on campus. We also have an Inter-IIT sports meet, where all 23 IITs participate. This year IIT Delhi and IIT Roorkee hosted this. There are so many clubs like music, dance, drama, edc, enacts, etc. You can learn almost every skill here. Each club is run by students and some clubs have some faculty advisors.
Admission
To get admission to IIT Delhi, you need to clear JEE Advance and then according to your rank, you get different branches in IITs. To give JEE Advance, you need to clear JEE mains and the application for JEE Mains is on the NTA website and JEE Advance from JEE Advance official website.
