The textile industry has a lot of unexplored potential in India The approximate faculty: student ratio is about 1:10 in the textile department. The exams are held on a regular and timely basis all year with no discrepancies.

Almost all companies that you can think of can be applied for. But there is no provision for 6-month internships. There are many projects available, starting from the second year itself, may it be in the core industry or the consultancy firms

The placements of IIT Delhi are quite good, even in the recession time the placements did not take a serious hit and went extremely well. The companies that visited the campus were Flipkart, adobe, BCG, Bain and many more big companies that offered very big packages to the students. More than 99% of students got placed during the first round of the placement season. The highest package offered was for 5 crores. My plans after getting the job are MBA so that I can learn more about the corporate world

The fee hike policy is on the increasing part as there are many developments all over the campus happening right now and thus need funding for the same. The cost of the study is about Rs.2,38,000 for the whole year. Unfortunately, I was unable to avail any kind of scholarship

Life on the campus is quite amazing and dynamic. There are new things happening all over the year and makes life more than interesting as it keeps you busy all year round. The central library is a huge collection of knowledgeable books which can be availed at any point in time. The classrooms are well equipped with projectors and systems for the professors to teach on. All sports in existence are available on the campus and there is a huge variety of clubs covering all the areas of interest of the students. Almost all the clubs are run by students themselves

The hostel rooms are equipped with basic amenities, a table, chair, cupboard and a large rack. The meals are quite good in some hostels, but not so good in others, depending on the luck of the person. The registration process for the hostel took place on a platform provided by IITD itself. The hostels are quite affordable, given the facilities they provide. The locality has scarce options for PGs but is not worth the money, as they are quite indifferent about the facilities they provide.

I availed no reservation at the time of reservation In the admission process, the form for jee mains came out too late
