E-Journals are also made available to the students with J-GATE subscription which provides access to more than 2000 full text journals and 6000 bibliographic text. The library serves as a rich workspace for students to do research and referencing.

Entrance Preview

I opt to go here. Also I got a pleasant environment to study and learn new technologies. The college is good enough on all aspects everything is properly manged.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, the college does provide internship in many companies and the college would suggest you a better company in campus as these companies are very good and does provide great over all experience.

Placement Experience

In the year 2016 total 76 students got placed. it was a good number of student. So overall the college placement is going up with time but if you compare it to some other colleges it's good then most the major no. Of placements are in Infosys.

The students are also assigned to a mentor/proctor with whom they can share their problems and difficulties. The mentor/proctor personally monitors the student's progress, assess and understands their needs and capabilities, counsels them and helps them to overcome their difficulties & inhibitions. All in all a strong support system for our students is ensured, making sure that the challenges of adolescence do not hinder their growth.

Faculty

The faculty of VVIT is something you can brag about as most of them are good and experienced out of their Masters and have teaching experience and you just don't have to study on your own if you want a good knowledge of your course.

LIFE AT NITK

Placement Experience:

Placements at NITK Surathkal are very good overall, and the EEE department consistently sees a high percentage of students getting placed-85% to 90%+ However the placement profiles and salaries vary a lot depending on whether you go core electrical jobs , software/IT jobs we students become eligible for placements from the 6th semester companies start arriving fro pre placement talks and tests ,some students also get PPOs done in the 3rd year summer internshis companies visiting nitk for eee students are: TEXAS INSTRUMENTS SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC SIEMENS ABB L&T TATA POWER BOSCH. My personal plans after getting degree is either get placed in a good company then later prepare for civils services examination.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The VTU syllabus was bit difficult to crack, but the course we good , it was a fun studing the syllabus, but the syllabus was not related to the placement, we struggle a lot to get placed in the final year

Course Curriculum Overview:

Since my kcet rank was low I want a good clg so I choose this college I choose electrical and electronics. also I'm very interested in electrical department I wanted eee branch so I choose this Curriculum actually helps you to learn and solve real world problems since it's a core branch you have to concentrate on our syllabus. We get to learn lot of things also we have 4 labs there you can learn practically . In our clg they additionally we have lab Called skill lab there you can learn lot of things additionally . I feel they should add some programming language as subject in eee additionally even though we learn that in 1st year there should be continuous so . Even our colleges provide boot camps for 10 days every sem where experienced trainer will come and teach you but I feel that's not enough they have include programming languages as our part of curriculum. In internals they provide 1hour time for for 30 marks and sem exams 3hr for 100 marks so it's manageable .

truths about VVIT college

I didn't choose this college but the government has given me the college * I wrote my KCET and got this college in KCET which i could not resist. * Starting I thought this college would be good but coming to this colleges proves me wrong and disspoints me to be in this college * I had thought to do other course than engeneering and wanted to go jyoti nivas college , christ universites like top colleges in banglore but i got seat in KCET and got this college but the course which i got made me to choose this college, I got AI-ML course in this college, I got the course I wanted till then i was happy and exciting but after visiting the college I was dissappointed * I didn't apply for other colleges because I wanted a government seat for the course i wanted and I had no choice over other colleges beacause i already got in vvit which is government seat. * I didn't get rejections in any colleges beacause i didn't apply for any. * Admission process for my college is through KCET or JEE and management seat available My overall admission processes was very painful and now I think that i should have selected a better college than this and I still regret that i chose this college but in the end not everything is our hands....Read More
