Course Curriculum Overview
In the postgraduate program around 650 seats are available. Of these, around 130 are for IPM students who pursue their undergraduate in IIM Indore via the IPMAT entrance exam. The entire batch is divided into 8 sections for convenience. All the faculties are highly qualified and helpful enough to clear the doubts. Those who have doubts can meet faculties taking appointments. The term exams are a bit hectic. In a year there are 3 terms. In each term for most of the subjects, surprise quizzes are taken for which the mail will come just 1 hr before the exam. End-term and mid-term exams are informed beforehand. IIM Indore uses a relative grade point system, so your grade point of yours not only depends on your performance but also on the overall performance of your section students.
Internships Opportunities
As of now, I am not aware of the opportunities available on campus to intern with them. Students can ask professors to give them an opportunity to work with them. It may be paid or unpaid as decided by the professors.
Placement Experience
The placement process starts at the end of the first term itself. There are multiple companies that come to recruit people. They select people based on their resumes and skills. They hire them on the basis of group discussions and interviews.
Fees and Financial Aid
MBA in top IIMs are expensive. IIM Indore takes around 22 lakh as a fee for 2 years of the PGP program. But you will easily get a loan from any bank for your education in top IIMs. Some non-institute scholarships are also there to help students but very few students get them. The placement committee ensures the placement of the entire batch during a summer internship and final placements. The average placement is around 25LPA.
Campus Life
College life is exciting for someone who can make friends easily. There is every type of person here. Different clubs and committees and interest groups are here. Anyone can join them. Multiple events happen on campus.
Hostel Facilities
Hostels are good and well equipped with good facilities. Bathrooms are clean and room cleaning is provided by the hostel. there are windows present and the view is good. All juniors live together so there is a good bond between them.
Admission
Any graduate candidate attending the final year of graduation is allowed to appear for the CAT exam. The application form is available on the official website of CAT. For General/ OBC candidates 2200 is the fee for the application. The exam is conducted usually in the last week of November.
Interview Experience
As I appeared for CAT 2021, the entire selection process was online. After appearing for the CAT exam all the shortlisted candidates get calls from several IIMs for further processes. I was asked about several current affairs, subjects that I studied in my undergraduates, my hobbies and introduction as part of the interview. There was an extempore as well, in which I was given a topic on which I had to speak for 2 minutes.
