Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course curriculum at NU is designed to be comprehensive and up-to-date with the latest industry trends. It covers a wide range of topics and provides students with a solid foundation in their chosen field of study. The curriculum is constantly updated to keep pace with the rapidly changing technological landscape. The faculty members at NU are highly qualified and experienced in their respective fields. The faculty-student ratio is favorable, which allows for individual attention and helps students to build strong relationships with their instructors. The teaching method at NU is interactive and student-centric. The faculty members use various teaching methods such as lectures, case studies, group discussions, and hands-on projects to keep students engaged and help them understand complex concepts. The term exams at NU are timely and well-organized. The university follows a rigorous evaluation process to ensure that students are assessed fairly.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

NIIT University (NU) places a strong emphasis on preparing students for the workforce through practical training programs such as Industry Practice and summer internships. The Centre for Industrial Collaboration (CIC) works with leading companies to provide students with hands-on experience in their chosen fields. Summer internships typically last 2-3 months and give students a first taste of a professional workplace, allowing them to develop functional knowledge and competencies, build professional networks, and test their interests. The Industry Practice program, a flagship program at NU, is a six-month work experience in the final semester of the undergraduate course. The projects are multidisciplinary and designed to address real-time industry problems, with students mentored by resident faculty, off-campus faculty, and industry professionals. NU's curriculum is also industry-linked, ensuring that graduates are ready for the workforce with the skills and experience.

Placement Experience

4

NIIT University is a highly respected educational institution known for its commitment to preparing students for successful careers. With over 700 active industry partners, including IBM, Tata Consultancy Services, and Morgan Stanley, NU has a 100% placement record and is highly sought after by employers. This is due to the university's focus on not just academics but also career development, which prepares students for real-world challenges and helps them develop into problem solvers who are highly valued by the industry. NU's placement process begins in the first year and includes unique workshops, the Career Development Council, and industry practice programs. The university also offers students the opportunity for summer internships and supports those who wish to start their ventures through its Centre for Innovation, Incubation, and Entrepreneurship. Additionally, NU helps students interested in further studies by mentoring them for admission to top universities in India.

Fees and Financial Aid

At NIIT University Neemrana, they are committed to providing a holistic education to their students, and they understand the importance of financial aid. That is why they offer a variety of merit-based scholarships and tuition fee waivers to their registered students. The fee structure includes mandatory one-time fees and recurring fees for tuition and living expenses. Parents or guardians of students can choose from an annual payment plan or a semester payment plan. The annual payment plan includes the university tuition fee and the annual hostel, mess, and laundry fees. NIIT University offers scholarships under their NU Scholar Search Programme, where applicants may qualify for a scholarship up to a full waiver on university tuition fees. Merit scholarships under this program are categorized into four levels: MS 1, MS 2+, MS 2, and MS 3, with benefits ranging from INR 50,000 to INR 200,000. Scholarships are awarded based on the student’s academic performance.

Campus Life

3.5

NIIT University (NU) is a residential campus located in the Aravalli Hills that focuses on providing a holistic education for its students. The 100-acre campus is committed to sustainability, offering a clean and green environment with modern facilities and amenities. NU provides well-equipped classrooms, sports facilities, a secure campus with monitored entry(sometimes they also remove clothes to check), and fully secure hostels with 24x7 health services. The university encourages students to participate in various activities that test their potential and hone their personalities, such as student-led events, fests, and extracurricular activities. The library offers a wide range of books and journals and classrooms are equipped with modern amenities to support learning. NU is dedicated to creating a safe and intellectually stimulating environment for its students, with a focus on student-centered experiences and a commitment to sustainability.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

NIIT University (NU) provides comfortable and secure hostel facilities for its students. The hostels are located in a picturesque setting at the foothills of the Aravalli range and are designed in tune with the terrain and climate. The campus has a green-air conditioning system which not only cools the classrooms and dorms but also supports sustainability. NU’s hostels offer separate facilities for boys and girls, fully furnished rooms, and 24-hour security with a single point of entry. The 24/7 campus also includes a female warden and security guard for the girl students. In addition, each hostel has Wi-Fi, RO water, hot drinking water, water coolers, a common room with a television, vending machines, and microwave ovens. NU takes the safety of its students seriously, ensuring state-of-the-art security technology and a secure environment. With these facilities, NU provides its students with a home away from home experience.

Admission

The NUAT consists of questions on Maths, English, and General Knowledge. The application process for the entrance exam is straightforward and can be done online through the official website. The application fee for NUAT is INR 2,500. The cut-off for NUAT is decided by the university and may vary from year to year. Eligibility for the course requires the student to have completed 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks. NU offers reservation benefits to students belonging to certain categories as per the guidelines set by the Government of India. The details of these benefits can also be found on the official website. In my opinion, the admission process at NU is quite rigorous and comprehensive, which is a good thing. However, I would like to see a more flexible application fee structure for students who come from economically weaker backgrounds. This would make the admission process more accessible to a larger number of students.

Reviewed on Mar 2, 2025(Enrolled 2025)

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is vast and allows a student to explore all the possible options to take before deciding on one . The field of elctronics and communication engineering allows one to deal with electronics and learn all the possible tinkering with them which is a very fascinating part as all the gadgets possible today were made of them. The curriculum does satisfy this thirst by teaching about them in the class of electronics and electricals and then experimenting in the lab with them . The areas for improvement could be that if a student is interested in a specific field then should be allowed to venture that field throughly instead of sitting in every class , but that is an imrovement for the indian education system as as whole . The classes of every subject does occur frequently and and exams take place every month in a form of quiz or proper pen based exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I like computer science and I can see my future in this course. The current ratio in computer science courses is around 1:5. And we don't have technical communication teaching at present and the college is saying that they will recruit teachers as soon as possible. The student-teacher ratio in all the branches is around 1:3. All facilities are well qualified and teach well but they are not permanent and hence they may or may not be changed next year. There are two semesters in each year and an examination is conducted after each semester. The difficulty level of these exams ranges from moderate to difficult.
