Course Curriculum Overview
I chose to do PGDM ib because I have a keen interest in international affairs moreover it gives you the opportunity to grow your career and get placed abroad the faculties are great they provide deep knowledge about the subjects and keep you busy with assignments and strict deadlines where you learn how to work under pressure a student has to complete 60 credits in the first year out of which 54 credits are from core courses and 6 from electives exams are held twice every trimester there is no gap between the exams mostly two exams are held in one day but the difficulty and marking are relatively easy.
Internships Opportunities
Internship opportunities are very limited only 50 percent of students get an internship from our college most of them have to find it outside on their own the profiles offered are of management trainees business development interns marketing intern customer support executives finance analysts.
Placement Experience
after the first year, we have to do summer internships where it's up to us to secure the ppo or otherwise companies start visiting a college campus in 4th semester and most of the students get placed at the beginning of the 6th semester minimum cgpa of 6 should at least be maintained to get good placements such as EY GARTNER KPMG NESTLE RELIANCE RETAIL ETC.
Fees and Financial Aid
THE fee structure for PGDM is about 17.21 lakhs which are to be paid in 4 installments one before the admission one before the commencement of term2 one after term3 and last before term 5 scholarships are provided by the college on a merit basis students below a certain level of family income are provided scholarships.
Campus Life
The campus is relatively small there is not much to do on campus mostly we sit outside at dhabas and tea stalls outside our college and chit-chat with our friends there are two tt and a pool table in the name for sports but the classrooms are well built and there are a lot of special interest groups and societies which you can be a part of and enjoy your college life.
Admission
First of all, I appeared for the CAT examination where I scored 85 percentile then I applied for fsm through its website. the cutoff for the course was ranging between 75-85 for PGDM IB so I got shortlisted for the admission process where I appeared for GD and PI where they asked general questions about myself and some technical questions relating to current affairs and marketing as my intended specialization.
