This course provides case-based learning pedagogy which provides strong basics in management theories. Every class is required a pre-reading of the case and thorough research on the case. The Faculty to student ratio is 0.3. It is worth noting that IIMs are known for small class sizes and high student Faculty ratio. there are Ph.D. scholars and academic associates to aid in students' learning process. Most of the faculty hold advanced degrees, they submit research papers as part of their KPI. Faculty uses a different styles of teaching like role play, group discussions, presentations, and projects. It also provides guest lectures and creates opportunities to interact with industry experts to know the current situation around the world. The complete PGP-MBA program has six terms, each year with 3 terms. each term has a mid-term tentatively after half of the course period and end term at the end of the term period.

The placement process starts from the time we join the campus. It is a cluster cohort system, with an aim of right fit for every student.. For first-year students after completion of Term 1, a Summer internship takes place, and for second-year placement start after 5th term. Many companies visit campus offering various profiles in Finance, consulting, marketing, IT, product management, real estate, consumer goods, and pharmaceuticals. 190 recruiters offered 220 offers during the last season. However, it is confidential to share the name of the companies. Highest package was Rs. 1.12 CTC, an average of Rs. 36.2 LPA in India. International offers had the highest package of $150,297. 100% of opted students got placed in the last season. The fee is usually decided ahead of the academic year before the commencement of the course for a period of two years by the institute governing board. Campus life is indeed great! There is an induction program for 2 days to acclimatize and give a sense of IIM A culture at the beginning of the course. there are events like T-nite to do team building, TRBS-the red brick summit and CHAOS, annual cultural fest lasting for 3 days. Classes have modern equipment like a projector and classroom architecture is such that the instructor could see and call on every student when required. It is completely air-conditioned. There are many clubs to enhance skills both from academic, cultural, and extracurricular perspectives. there are facilities to play football, basketball, swim, abadminton and state of art gym facilities. Akrsoh is annual intra-college sports competition held across the section, and Sangarsh is inter-college sport festival held at IIMA. All the clubs are run by students under the supervision of faculty. there are clubs like CONSULT, OPTIMA, anBETA to enhance learning. There are social clubs like Decibel, Prakriti, and Panecia.

I live in new Dorms. All the new hostels have great facilities like AC, geyser, Bed and lighting. each dorm has a refrigerator, washing machine, and micro oven facilities. There is mess which provides breakfast, lunch and dinner. on campus there are canteens like Kamala's serving Gujrathi thali, Hyderabadi Biryani, college cafe, cafe transtaffal, cafe tomorrow and Radhiks a south Indian cuisine based. Meals are basically Gujarati meals. it is good in an overall sense and affordable. registration for hostel happens during the admission process and are difinitely afoordable with all the above mentioned facilities.

Admissions to IIM Ahmedabad PGP MBA a 2-year program are through CAT (Common entrance exam). Eligibility: The candidate must possess a bachelor's degree from a recognized university with at least 50% marks or equivalent. Entrance exam: The application form shall be available on the official IIM website 2 months before the exam. The application fee may vary from year to year. However, it was Rs. 1200 for general category applicants and Rs. 900 for SC/ST/PWD category applicants. Application date starts usually start in August and end by mid-September. Improvement in the admission process: 1. Multiple admission rounds: To provide a chance to attempt CAT multiple (at least twice)a year, this would help the applicant to give the exam at a suitable time. 2. Consider multiple entrance tests like CAT, GMAT, GRE, and XAT to add more diversity 3. To include seats for foreign students on at least some quota basis, this would help in enriching the learning with cross-country diversity.

I had undergone AWT-PI post-selection from the CAT exam. AWT topic was based on current affairs, where they give a piece of information and ask a few questions based out of it to know your analytical ability to read, understand and present. My topic was associated with rising crude prices and their impact on businesses, economic development, and the government. Personal interview was post AWT test. As I had significant work ex, it was mostly around it. Final admission was based on the composite score attained by the applicant. It is calculated by 35% weightage on academic rating(weightage to High school, UG score, Work experience) and 65% based on the normalized CAT score. Preparation: Thorough with concepts and prepared through test series for the CAT exam. Reading newspapers to handle AET-PI stage.
