IIM Jammu - IIM in Paradise

Our course provides us with diverse subjects which helps us aim holistic development. For instance, we have a geopolitical Environement course, because it is extremely important to consider the geopolitics of any place before you setup any business. We also have courses like photography and film-making, excel, Programming in Python and R, Graphic Designing, etc. All of these courses aim to keep us at par with the industry. This is literally the only institute which has a happiness center and we also had a course for Happiness and Mental Well Being. We are literally taught about mental health and it' aspects that we could help other people and ourselves with.

IPM students have a compulsory Social Internship and a Corporate Internship. Placements take place from campus. Prominent recruiters like The Leela, Microsoft, Shoppers Stop, Indian Oil, Royal Enfield, and many more have come to the campus for Corporate Intersnship Program.

For 2022-24 placements, over 150 companies participated in the campus recruitment process. The highest CTC reached INR 31.75 LPA, while the average and median CTC were recorded at INR 15.48 LPA and INR 15.00 LPA, respectively. Prominent companies such as Infosys, Wipro, Tata Motors, Congnizant, Aditya Birla CAPITAL, and many more came during the placement season.

6,77,424 is the total fees for every student. This includes academic expenses (tuition fees, library fees) and non-academic expenses(Hostel fees, IT Infrastructure , etc.). Since, this is a fully-resedential program, every student is reqired to pay this non-academic fee as well. 50,000 one-time caution fee is deposited along with the semester 1 fees. Also, mess charges are separately applicable. The Institute provides need-based scholarships on basis of merit and need. However, such oppurtunities are limited only upto 10% of the batch. Our institute also encourages scholarships provided by different ministries such as Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Ministry of Tribal Affairs , Ministry of Minority Affairs, Ministry of Labor and Employement, etc.

Our Annual Cultural Fest - "EMPYREAN" takes place every year around the month of December. We have heavy footfall over the 3 days when Empyrean takes place and artists like Jubin Nautiyal and Ankit Tiwari. We have lots of student clubs and many sports facilities present on campus and everything here is student-run, which gives us an early hands-on experience of how to manage things.

We are provided with a single room for now (but sharing rooms might be given basis availability too). A bed, mattress, Air Conditioner (which turns to heater in winters), a big cupboard, a table, chair, nightstand are provided in every room. You can keep table lamps if you wish to, however, heavy electric appliances are restricted. The meals are delicious and since Mess is also student run, regular feedback is taken and you can actually give suggestions about what can be added in the meals to your batchmates who are managing the mess responsibilites.

Admission in IPM program in IIM Jammu is through JIPMAT exam(merit based). The JIPMAT exam is conducted by NTA on behalf of IIM Jammu and Bodhgaya. 70 percent weightage is given to JIPMAT score, 15 percent to 10th score and 15 percent to 12th score. There is no personal interview round for IIM Jammu IPM as of now.

The faculties are always available to help the students and they make sure they are approachable for the students. If you have a doubt regarding anything you can take an appointment and reach any faculty you want to. I literally reached out a faculty to get support for a research paper and they instantly agreed. Also, besides all this we also have a faculty and student mentorship program, where we can reach out to our faculty mentor regarding any academic concerns we might have and they will provide us with the best solutions possible for our problem.

We have a 24x7 Nescafe on our campus. It literally provides all of us the much-needed fuel to run. Our favorite hanging spot is our iconic "CLOCK TOWER". You can go there with your friends and hang-out there. There are no hostel timings, which means you can roam in the campus all night if you wish to. And the campus in timings are 10 P.M. for our batch.
