Admission

The admission process involves registering for the CAT exam, which is conducted by the IIMs in the last week of November each year. Students who have completed their graduation or are currently in the final year of their graduation can appear for the CAT exam. There are 20 IIMs, and each IIM has its own eligibility criteria and cut-offs for CAT. Candidates who clear the CAT cut-offs and composite score and meet other eligibility criteria of a particular IIM are then further called for the WAT-GD-PI round ( Writing Ability Test- Group Discussion- Personal Interview). The final choices are determined by a set of criteria that may vary for each IIM. The composite CAT score, prior academic success, employment experience, and performance in WAT/GD and PI all factor towards the marking scheme. Final decisions are made in accordance with these final scores.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose the MBA course in Cimage centre of digital technology for its focus on practical skills like leadership and strategic thinking, which I wanted to develop. It prepares me well for real world jobs with case studies and projects. I suggest adding more detail tools and industry trends to the curriculum. Exam 2 semester per year, well spaced but challenging some questions are tricky. Overall it's a solid course.

Placement Experience:

This is a government college so for placement there is a placement cell in the college where you can enroll. The campus placement is not available here as calling the companies for this requires funds and in this college where fees are very minimal for every course it is not possible to call high end companies. But faculties here helps us to secure interviews and also recommend us and give their references to the companies or personnel they know. Today more than 60% percent of the students are places at very nice positions. Some are in reputed banks and corporate firms and some have cleared PSU Bank exam some of them have turned to entrepreneur. I personally have planned for doing Ph.D for which I am preparing.
