Course Curriculum Overview

Term exams of the first two semesters were late due to COVID and the Online semester but after that the term exams and ISE were nice. It was not too difficult to pass when proper preparation was done and we would pass easily if we sit all the regular lectures.

Class Size: 64Course Fees: INR 153000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Yet I had not got any Scholarships or any Financial Assistance jobs or stipends but this year I will be applying for the EBC scholarship and not I am eligible for the scholarship. And there is a nice job on the campus and average placement is 8.2LPA.

Campus Life

There are many social groups, and websites and Clubs like ISTE, ROTARACT CLUB OF TCET, SORT AND LITERARY, TCET SHASTRA, GFG, EWT, ACM, GDSC, and there are many more clubs and many more and there is a TCET college website.

Admission

Yes, there should be a provision to pay the Admission form fees online, and also TSDW fees can also be paid online. And we can apply for resource books also after the admission process and it is not necessary to buy them at the time of admission.

Placement Experience:

From 7th Sem, students are eligible for placements and undergo placement training. Many companies has visited so far but the big ones are Godrej, BEL, Framatome, etc. The highest package for mechanical was 7.5 LPA and the avg package was around 5 LPA with a majority of job roles as GET. Almost 95% students are placed. I'm preparing for GATE ME for higher studies

SIT is best engineering college of Pune!!

Placement Experience:

If one wants direct placements in comapnies such as Wipro, Cognizant, Hexaware, TCS and many more, SIT is the place. Highest is still unbeatable as one student in 2023 got a paycheck of 50 lakhs per annum from SIT. Even the average is over 10 lakhs now as most students are placed through SIT placements cell.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. A few departments could integrate new technologies fatser into the syllabus. Practical v/s theoretical balance: Labs, workshops and real world projects are a core part of the structure, especially in engineering, design, and science programs. i got in this college through mht cet and i wanted to go into tcet as it was near to my house and one of the main reason is placement. TCET has a very strong industry connection as well as political too. To get into TCET you have to give the MHT-CET exams and secure almost 95%ile score for tech branches for non linguistic minority.
