Entrance Preview

Comedk I went on to opt for ECE in RVCE because it is one of the best colleges in the state and I had heard very good things about its electronics course. I was interested in both the coding aspect as well as Physics aspect of devices and believed that a course in electronics and communication would be an ideal course for me.

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

Everything is good, don't live in a hostel. However I've heard from my friends that the hostel rooms are satisfactory. The mess food seems to be on the dissatisfactory side as I've heard friends complaining either the lack of taste or quality of the food. Also, the mess follows a weekly repetitive time table as to what to prepare for the day which gets boring after a month.

Internships Opportunities

Yes. Lot of companies come for internships especially in 3rd year. Including Deloitte, Amazon, IBM (Innovation labs), Cisco, Microsoft, Avaya, Gnostice etc. The stipend ranges from 10k to 40k. They have online coding rounds followed by couple of technical interviews.

Placement Experience

2

Few companies arrive for placement excellent placements to its students. In my batch , of around 220 people, 190 people applied for placements and nearly 186 people were placed. The hghest offer was 19.5 LPA and the lowest was 3.6 LPA. Companies that came to the campus include big names like : TI, NI, Microsoft, Cisco and even a bunch of startups like Practo, endurance, Helpchat, Myntra , catamaran ventures, etc.

College Events

1.5

Sankalp is the main fest. "8th Mile " one of famous RV College event. It's 3 day function with DJ. We enjoyed a lot. In our college many event happen during different festivals. Our college is good at encouraging events it may be technical, cultural, etc never said no ,we have sports meet that's both for student and faculty.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Expensive for middle class people For a merit student, the fee structure averages to around Rs. 50,000 per year for tuition and an additional Rs. 60,000 per year for accommodation. This is a decent fee which is neither too low nor too high. However, students who belong to the middle class will need to opt for a student loan for the course.

Fees and Financial Aid

No scholarship or loan for me. But Yes different scholarship is available like for SC / SC students, for GATE qualified students and many more. facilities

Campus Life

2

The campus is small. Hindi environment. The campus life is definitely vibrant and fun with various student groups and activities. Various activities are held with regularity and the fact that there are many facilities like fields and courts for sports along with labs, a medical center, a bank, multiple food courts and even a temple (!) ensure that there is never a dull moment on campus

Hostel Facilities

2

Mess mood is good but students may get bored due to the same food routine every week. First year hostel is not very good. It is due for renovation. Usually rooms are shared among 2-3 students. Second year hostel is better than first year hostel. Rooms are shared among 2 students. Third year hostel is again not very good. Rooms are shared among 2-3 students.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes they are helpful. Alumni are great example great Indian cricket player anil kumble is our alumni etc our senior students are great we have great healthy relationship with them .

Exam Structure

Study n exams are properlyCourse structure starts from the basics and gives the student a wide range of electives later on to choose and specialize in. Emphasis is given for research and publishing papers. While some courses are theoretical in nature, there are many which are practical and involves real life applications set

Admission

I hv got 18000 rank in comedk and got sapthgiri as a preferable college to be admitted in. Comedk examination was super, whole country student were writing exam, exam were held in Bangalore itself. So no problem for me and others also as Bangalore has great connectivity it was a whole day exam . 10 /10RATINGS

Faculty

3

It is very good However hostel rooms have to fit 2-4 people in a room based on the size of the room and also the year you are in. Hostel blocks are different for each year and so is the mess. Some blocks have been renovated recently and hence they are excellent, while the rest are still mediocre.

Placement Experience:

Placements at RNS Institute of Technology are good. Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th or 7th semester. Many companies visit the college, including IT and core companies. Some of the common recruiters include TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and a few core companies for EEE. The average package is around 3 to 5 LPA, and higher packages are also offered for top-performing students. The highest package can go much higher depending on the company. Around 70–80% of students get placed, mainly in IT roles. For EEE students, core placements are limited, but there are good opportunities in software roles. The college also provides training and support for placements. After completing my degree, I plan to get placed in a good company and build my career.

Most of the students get placed from the campus placements. Students get eligible for campus placements from the fifth semester. Companies like HP, Infosys, Wipro come for recruiting and make offers from 3L per annum to 30 L per annum. Around 70 percent of the students get placed through campus placement. I plan on working for a dream company after completing my degree.

Placement Experience:

I applied to colleges like BMSIT and Sir MVIT, and I had confirmed seats there, too. I chose RNSIT because it has a better reputation for placements in my branch and the campus environment felt more welcoming. I didn't get into RVCE because my KCET rank wasn't high enough for their top branches, as the competition was very tough that year. The admission process is simple. They mainly take students through KCET and COMEDK. You need at least 45% in your 12th boards (PCM). Most students prefer KCET because the fees are lower. Once the seat is allotted through counseling, you just visit the campus, submit your documents, and pay the fees. The whole process was quite smooth and well-organized."

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is very unique, and very new, we are not taught irrelevant subjects and topics like every university does, Polaris school of technology (PST) is a new gen college which mainly focuses on tech, producing the best engineers not amongst india but amongst the world, it's aim is to produce engineers who are better than IITians and MITians, all these specifications influenced me to choose this course/curriculum When it comes to real-world applications, Polaris school of technology(PST) gives us real-life problems and scenario based projects through evaluations which help us in the future and helps us to build a proper approach for problems and train us to be the best. We have two main exams per sem which would be conducted every 3 months that is ½th of the sem, we have a total of 8 sems, so total 16 exams, our exams would be difficult for other college students, but not for us as we have the best mentors.
