Remarks

Admission was based on NRI. Generally, admission was based on the entrance exam. I failed on entrance exam so I took admission based on NRI. Reservation was given to deserved ones. The admission process is done in the right way.

Course Curriculum Overview

I want to work as an engineer so opted for electronics and communication engineering and also I was interested in the electronics and communication branch. The facilities are good. All facilities are good for teaching. Term exams are conducted at the right times.

Class Size: 40Course Fees: INR 27000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees are given based on the percentage attained in their high schools. So fee structure is different for everyone. The scholarship is given to deserving ones. Placements were given after the course is finished.

Campus Life

An annual fest like arts is conducted every year to make students active and Facilities like Library and needed books are also available. Sports and extracurricular activities are also conducted on campus. Nss like social groups are also there on campus which gives moral ideas to students.

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Main companies visiting the campus are IBM , TCS ,TATA ELXSI,L&T, Cognizant,Toshiba,Vanenburg,Kalkitech,Sobha,Mrf ,Juspay,Dynolt and many more. 70 % students get placement Highest package is 16 lpa and average is 5 lpa After degree higher studies can be considered.

Placement Experience:

The placements here are quite good, but not great. Because only 50% of students in a class are getting placed. From S7 onwards the placements have been started for our department. But for other departments, from S8 only companies have arrived. For CSE department, many companies are coming which include Cognizant, SOTI, Mitsogo, EY, 6D Technologies, etc. Our senior batch students have placed at many companies in this. But comparing with other senior batches, the placements at our batch is really bad.
