Remarks

overall the college is really good for academics and placements, it is very clean and hygienic one thing i would like to say which i think is bad but not bad is the strictness of the college

Entrance Preview

for admission in vidyalankar, there is no such criteria of entrance exams eligibility. students who have scored above 60% in 12th HSC or equivalent boards can apply for admission in the college I always wanted to get into IT Sector as i think my computer knowledge is very good, but at the same time i didn't wanted to do engineering, because i knew i would screw up in it! so this was the best viable option to choose from!

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Every student who has an aspiration to do something in IT or computer sector but at the same time doesn't want to opt for engineering should pursue this course.its a three year degree course with six semesters l. the curriculum is vast but at the same time, with the help of faculties it can be easily understood. also every year there is a research paper competition held to improve our research skills

Internships Opportunities

vidyalankar provides summer internship for various n well known companies like balaji pictures, bdf infotech, reliance amg etc and the stipend is very good (between 8-12k)

Placement Experience

4

well, the main advantages pursuing your degree course in vidyalankar is the campus placements companies like wipro, L&T, capgemini, tcs come every year for campus placements the placement percentage is also commendable as almost 85/100 students get accepted in to these companies

College Events

5

as our college is a IT college, we have a lot of technical and IT related events held all over the year like tantra vihar(project competion) vsearch(research paper competion) hackathon etc along withe the technical events we have gaming events as well like gta, nfs, fifa and dota coding events like blind coding ,fill the code etc are also held "verve" and "vigour" are our annual college fests were almost every cultural and technical event is held and it attracts a lot of crowd from all over mumbai

Fee Structure And Facilities

when compared to other bsc IT colleges the fee structure is quite high ,but along with that the facilities provided ,the faculties ,extra curricular activities, placement opportunities the fee makes up for it currently the fee for one year is between 55-60k for bsc IT

Fees and Financial Aid

i am not aware about any loan or scholarship facility available in our college as it is a private college

Campus Life

5

campus life in vidyalankar is very fun and chilled. the campus is huge ,clean and there is ample of greenery and spaces to roam around we have 3 ground to play sports ,3 huge canteens and variety of dishes. the college has its student council where the students stand up to the college management concerning about issues if any

Hostel Facilities

5

the food in vidyalankar is worth craving for . in the entire campus we have 3 huge canteens and they are always full! the rates are also reasonable ( we don't have mess system) hostel facility is not available as students from Mumbai come to the college

Alumni/Alumna

vidyalankar has a vast and very well connected alumni network, we have our own college app to get connected with the alumni's! the alumni's are altogether very helpful and always guide us whenever needed

Exam Structure

it is a 3 year course with 2 semesters every academic year. in between the semesters is the midterm exam(like unit tests) and the scheduling is very proper and we as such don't feel any pressure. before the theory examinations ,our practical examinations are held the first two year exams are conducted by college itself and the last year exams are conducted by university of Mumbai. we have a project in the last year of college which is very important for all students as it carries a lot of weight-age

Admission

My friend was in vidyalankar ,when i passed my 12th exams! He knew what i wanted so he straight away recommended me to opt for this college. the admission process was very simple and stress free with respect to other colleges.as it was walk-in admissions,i went with my mom and submitted my 12th mark sheet and college leaving certificate.i had to fill an online form of the college to confirm my admission and the fees were to be paid by cheque so the entire admission process was done in one single day

Faculty

4.5

the teaching faculty at vidyalankar is very enthusiastic and experienced. they have struck a nice balance between young energetic teachers and experienced and respected professors. students always feel free to ask or discuss any topics with the faculties

Course Curriculum Overview:

Strong academic legacy with expereinced faculties and balanced content- preparing you for future studies and entrance exams and olympiads. very much strict, i would say not needed. somehwere you may experience baised behaviour; but when you are focused on gaining knowledge then these things dont matter as its only a matter of three years. Relevance of course is there but for applying for further studies not for that much for job prospects, if you want atleast a decent salary job.

I have rarely seen companies coming to our college for placement purposes for our course but I have seen companies coming for BCOM and BCA. I don't know about my course as I am currently in my second year. The percentage of students getting placements are veryess as my friend from third year said that out of 150 students only 10 students got placed this year which is very less compared to other colleges. My plans after getting the degree is if I got a job in any of the it company I will do it for experience and side by side I am planning to pursue my education in MSC CS
