Experience of college life

College management was good, recently college has been renovated to a very high quality arrangements. That's quite cool, but we have missed it. Overall it's a full package of college life.

JEXPO Entrance Examination, Rank - 296 General, I took admission to APC just because of their faculty of electrical engineering was too good and renowned that forced me to study in this college in Electrical Engineering

The three years of this Diploma is very thorough where needed and necessary basic engineering parts have been included in very first beginning. Trade subjects or departmental subjects will be added later and I think WBSCTE has selected the syllabus very tricky and there would be pressure among the students to study seriously.

No, college does not provide internship. Different companies came for direct recruitment. Internship to WBPDCL of West Bengal Government, Indian Railways Eastern Division is done with the help of college.

Civil, Mechanical and Electrical Departments have record of more than 90% placements during last 2 or 3 years. Comparatively, Food Processing Technology and Electronic & Instrumation have less percentage of recruitment. Though, this year, I mean 2017, a tremendous number of students have been already got job and will join.

Robotics competition is held every year which is organised by eYantra and IIT Bombay. APC Ray Polytechnic has won first prize among all the colleges in 2016. Cultural fest is always organised by Students union and Freshers for all the newcomers is held in September every year.

Fee Structure is very much less as APC Ray Polytechnic is a government college completely controlled by West Bengal State Council of Technical Education. So fee structure every year is almost 2000-3000 rupees per semester. It is very much affordable for different students coming from all over the West Bengal.

Scholarship is given by Government and West Bengal State Council of Technical Education for Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and OBC candidates. One who is in this category should apply for scholarship and get it accordingly. No, there is no loan facility available​ in our college.

Gender Ratio of Male to Female is almost 3:1 in all departments. There is no political parties in college. Only thing is students union. The college is free from ragging, religious harassments etc. Different workshops are now-a-days organising by various groups and teachers of the college.

Hostel facilities are not actually there. Just beside our college, there is Jadavpur University Hostels. Numerous students from our college stays there during their three years course. But one should contact a well before joining the first semester or admission, contact early to get the bookings in hostel. Also Jadavpur area has a lot of messes and PGs to stay.

Alumni network is very good. Even a lot of ex-students come to cultural programs during the events. Senior and ex-students are always so much helpful to us.

Our laboratory​ setups are very good. Different laboratories and setups for different sections of each and every department. Machine Laboratory, Electronics Laboratory, Instrumentation Laboratory, Power Electronics Laboratory these are very much upgraded and completely saturated with high level arrangements.

Admission Process now-a-days is happening through online counselling after JEXPO Entrance Exam. Own choices of Dept. and college should be filled serially and while counselling someone will get a college and dept. according to his rank. Online counselling site is very user friendly and helpdesk numbers are also very helpful while filling the forms.

Electrical engineering faculty is best in our college. Also Civil and Mechanical engineering department are also very renowned for their experienced and highly educated faculty. Our laboratories are very upgraded too. And specially Food Processing Technology lab is best in West Bengal.
