Remarks
The admission process was based on class 12 marks. The minimum mark required in class 12 was 60%. The application form was released in July-august and some of the seats are reserved for residents of Punjab.
Course Curriculum Overview
I wanted to do Computer Science And Engineering. And I found this college good according to my requirements. The number of students in my class is 82 and there are 27 groups in my batch i.e., 2021-2025. Faculty members are good and there are 3 STs and 3 FAs every semester. And at the end, there is an End Term Examination.
Internships Opportunities
The internship opportunities provided at Chitkara University are quite good. Most of the students get internships with a stipend of around 10k-15k. It depends on the students how have brushed their skills. The college focuses on making projects and making LinkedIn connections better.
Placement Experience
From the 5th semester, students become eligible for college internships and from the 6th semester for college placements. The companies that visited this college are Adobe, TCS, Wipro, Hero, Infosys, Cognizant, Microsoft, etc. Many product-based companies visit the college. The highest package this year was 55LPA and the average is around 7LPA. Many mass recruiters visit the campus, so most of the students are placed. Around 90% of students get placed. I have planned to join the industry as an SDE i.e., Software Development Engineer.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees of academic in our college are 82000 per semester which remains the same for four years and the hostel fee is 56500 per semester which might increase by 5% per year. No scholarship is provided at Chitkara University. Overall the course is affordable.
Campus Life
The annual fest happens once a year and the name of the fest is rangrez. DJ nights and other activities are organized regularly and the sports facility is quite good. Grouds are good and coaches are also there. There are various coding clubs and other dramatic clubs in the college.
Hostel Facilities
I have got a four-seater room. The washroom is common. The facilities provided are cooler in every room, wifi. The hostel is well cleaned every day by the sweepers. The food quality is average and the menu is different for all 7 days of the week. The hostel is quite expensive. There are many PGs and flats available in around 5 km area of the college.
