You have to pass JEE Mains for applying to college. You are allotted to this college by jossa counseling. You get top branches like computer science and artificial intelligence and machine learning at around the 98 percentile in JEE Mains.

Course Curriculum Overview

The faculty member is overall very experienced but is strict in attendance and marks which makes it a bit tough to score a good cgpa. Ece branch professors are really strict making it the toughest branch in this college.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, internship opportunities are available on campus right from the 3rd year companies like Microsoft give attractive PPOs to interns from here as the coding culture here is great. Every branch student is encouraged to do coding.

Placement Experience

Placements are very attractive here as all the major companies visit here to offer jobs. The average package of college is nearly 14-15 LPA, so for CS, and AIML branches it is nearly 18 LPA. 85% of students were placed here this year.

Fees and Financial Aid

Quite an expensive college with a cost of around 16-17 lacs overall for your B.Tech degree but the return on investment is good as well so definitely worth it. There are scholarships based on your GPA from 2nd year and based on your jee rank in 1st year under the name GP Birla scholarship.

Campus Life

Annual fest - Bitotsav which is a cultural fest, Tech fest - pantheon. Library - well equipped but open until 8 pm only. Classrooms- equipped with projectors and acs. Multiple grounds for sports facilities with a gym inside the campus. A lot of clubs and a great fund by the college to manage the clubs.

Hostel Facilities

Hostels are well equipped with facilities for locked storage units just open storage units with a really small room in 1st year. But Wi-Fi and lan facilities and paid laundry facilities are available. The meal is acceptable with variety but for pure veg students, we get non-veg 3 times a week.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

Placement Experience:

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

Placement Experience:

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

A Genuine Review

Placement Experience:

From 5th Semester onwards student are eligible for internship but from 7th semester they are allowed to sit in campus. Various companies like PayPal, Wipro , cognizant ,TCS ,Genpact ,Amdocs etc. Highest Package this year is 35 lpa and Average Package is around 7.5 lpa. Around 90% of students from circuital branch and around 80% students from non-circuital branch has been placed so far this year. My plan is prepare very smartly for campus placements and bag a very good PPO from are tech based company.

At BIT Mesra for our departments many cpre companies like Tatva Chintan, Laxmi Organics and Kanoria Chemicals were among some listed companies that came for placements. Luckily we are less in numbers and therefore 90% students from our batch were placed from here. My plans after getting the degree is to pursue masters from US.

I had NIT Raipur Chemical Engg, rejected it because I didn't like the campus amenities of the same, zero sports facilities, they play Football on a Red Soil literally. I got this in CSAB and hence it was a better ranked college than NITRR, i've heard of people opting a lower preferred branch in BITM over a branch in NITRR such the brand value of the college. I scored pretty avg in JEE 58k rank so wasn't eligible for all the clgs anyhow. Admission process is pretty simple JOSSA and CSAB. Actually This college was in my list but as a last option as i was getting RVCE and BMS few reputed colleges of bangalore but my parents insisted for this college as this college carries a good brand name of BIT,Mesra. Yes, Due to my not so good performance in JEE Mains I did not get the college i was hoping for. A student should first appear in JEE Mains and score a good percentile to get in to this college.
