First Year Student View

Pass classes 10th and 12 with 60% and crack the WBJEE examination or JEE to get into this college. You can find the application form from the college or from the college website itself. Our college is the oldest among the colleges in west Bengal and ranks in the top 5 private colleges in west Bengal.

I preferred this college because I wanted to explore the new life independently and explore the hurdles and circumstances to handle problems and make it solve them, I had chosen Computer Science Engineering because I have a great interest in computers. This college has 2 teachers for every subject and the number of students in the class is 60. The difficulty is pretty good and it's all on the basics of classes 11 and 12.

HIT will assist you to find some good training in Good companies. Most of the companies are located in West Bengal. If you Want to do an internship you have to make your own effort for arranging it. There are so many examples of our seniors who have successfully arranged their internships. I think Industrial Training is enough for your industrial exposure.

In the 3rd semester, students with good grades are eligible for placements and most of the students get placed in the company's like INFOSYS, TATA, TCS, CAPGEMINI, AMAZON, PAYTM, MICROSOFT, INTEL, IBM etc therefore you need good grades to crack that placement. The highest package is 42lpa and it's from Amazon off campus, and on-campus placement, the highest is 18 LPA. Their average placement is about 8-9 LPA. And 95% of students get placed on campus.

It's pretty expensive to those over other colleges in West Bengal because it's in rural regions and everything is expensive. Therefore we get a chance to apply for student credit cards and some other scholarships too.

There are many fests like Rivera, Prayukti and many other small societies available to function on their own, it has NEEDS a non-profit organization, Samarpan etc, many sports activities are also done in college between different branches, cricket, football, table tennis, badminton, chess etc also played here. There are many social groups and websites also run by our students like CSI India, The Hit Times, Haitian Inside etc.

There are two hostels for boys for the 1st year. 1. Ranichak Boys Hostel 2. Balaji Boys Hostel Both are pretty good but Ranichak is a little better because than Balaji but it's 1km from the college and Balaji is 700m. Therefore in each hostel, there are competitions like cricket, volleyball, football, quiz etc.
