All about dtu

For admission in b.tech courses at DTU, you have to give jee mains entrance exam, and secure cut-off ranks. After this, you have to apply for Jac-Delhi counselling. This is completely online, you have filled in your choice then they will announce the result of round 1, then 2 and so on, according to your rank you will be allotted a seat, and then you have to report to the college and verify your documents. After this, you have to pay your fees, which are around 2 to 2.5 lac for 1st year.

In one semester you have to give mid-term exams and end-term exams, and they happen on scheduled time. The quality of questions is moderate level. Also, it depends on your branch, in my branch(ENE) you can score good marks by studying one day before the exam, but in EE you have to give a decent time to study.

You can apply for an internship after the 4th sem, mostly tech companies are hiring interns in our college, and they give attractive stipends of around 50k to 200k rupees, but very less students are able to grab it, around 400 out of 2500.

After the 5th semester, you are eligible to apply for internships and placement. At this time very less companies visiting for core placement, most of the companies hire in tech or consultancy, and in core sectors like civil, mechanical, environmental, etc very few companies visit our campus. But around 250 to 350 companies visit our every year in our campus, and around 40% company hire from all branches, so if you have skills according to their requirements toy will get placement.

Fees are not fixed, every year they increase, at the time of admission you will get your fee structure. At this time fees per year are around 2 lac to 2.5 lac. If your family is not able to pay your fees, you can apply for a scholarship. There are many scholarships but, most of the students apply for financial aid scholarships- given by DTU, and Merit cum means scholarship- given by the Delhi government.

Infrastructure is quite good, dtu regularly upgrades its infrastructure. Recently they added 2 new hostels, And One big auditorium. Dtu's annual fest is engi fest. There are so many societies which conduct their own mini-fest which is quite awesome. For Sports dtu have nearly everything like- cricket ground, football ground, kabaddi, tennis, etc but, they have less equipment.
