Remarks

As it is an open college, no entrance exam is taken in it. If you passed in all subjects in 12th class, so you can easily got your admission in this college. You can find the application form and all details on their official website i.e. www.sol.du.ac.in and College fees for all courses on average 3500rs per year and admission starts from September. There is no reservation Benefits in this college because as I told it's is an open college. Sometimes, it's admission procedures are start very late. So they have to must improve their admission dates. Overall everything is good.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I choose B.Com Hons because I am from college background and i love doing accounting that's why I choose. Faculties are really impressive, all them are good in nature, always ready to help the students no matter what. Student faculty ratio is approximate 50:1 All the faculty are doing their Post Graduation, all are highly educated. Their teaching method was also too good. They understand how students learn and how to teach them so the student can't forget easily. There are Digital labs and digital boards also in the classroom. But as I told it is an open college university so classes are not regular or daily. It's only on Sunday. There are 2 times examination in a year. Because it's based on CBCS/Semester wise. So in 1 year is equals to 2 semester. So students have to give 2 time exam in 1 year. Exams are easy to cracked. If you study all subjects nicely, then there is no rocket science tough papers. It's moderate type of paper which is easy to clear.

Internships Opportunities

2

Sorry, but there is no opportunities available for an internship in this college. This is an open college so students have to go college only once a week on Sunday only. So they only complete the study of the course. Nothing extra curricular at all.

Placement Experience

3

No, there is no campus students. Companies only visit in regular college, not in open college. So there is no placement happens. My future plans after doing graduation from here are doing and Accountant internship work under CA. And learn about the Accoutncy work. So i can work in a company as a senior accountant.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee structure is around 3500rs for year. You have to pay yearly wise fees. If your course is for 3 year. Then you have to pay 3 time fees per year. No, there is not any scholarship and other activities in the college. Because it's an open college university. So in this we have to go college for 1 day in a week i.e on Sunday. So only syllabus complete. No other things are there.

Campus Life

2.5

No fests are held in this college. Because it's an open college / distance college so students have to go college for once in a week only i.e. sunday only. And there is no fests, functions, parties are conducted. Yes, there is book library. So we can issue a book for study. There is physical blackboard and digital labs, online projectors are in the classrooms. There is no sports and extra curricular activities on the campus. No, there is not any social group, clubs or website for students run by students, because it's an open college, students have to come once in a week i.e. on Sunday. So students are only focus on their study in one day. None other things.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was preparing for CA also that's why I opted for Bcom, rest no other factors. But the curriculum of the college was best. They covered our whole syllabus on time. Everything was just perfect. There's semester system at my time. Every year we have 2 semester exams and you can clear the exam if you have studied everything your teacher taught. Examination level was moderate only.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum itself is offered under delhi University is the biggest pro of this college I liked the aspect that it tries to capture the essence of holistic development by introducing skill enhancement courses, value addition courses and ability enhancement courses It also facilitates dynamic learning experience by offering the courses from different departments such as general electives I still believe that there is a space for improvement in the applicability of this course in the real world as the world is growing at a fast paced and we need to prepare ourselves with everything we can Intership opportunities, live projects of certain subjects , increased field trips and introduction of ai courses Frequency is good ,1 per semester which helps students to take on different ventures also and the difficulty level is mixed depending upon the subject but ranges from moderately easy to difficult

Course Curriculum Overview:

There's no such specific aspect to be very honest, I was clear since my 12th standard only that I'll be doing BCom hons in my undergraduation. The core subjects provides you valuable knowledge for sure but there's nothing to learn from AEC, SEC and VAC subjects (they are useless). I think teachers should start focusing more and like in my 3rd semester, there are 2 teachers for each of my core subject, this should be eliminated because it creates confusion among students. Exams usually ends in 1 month and mostly my exams were in the morning shift which is 9:30-12:30 but it gets difficult during winters to reach to college on time and sometimes you have to wait too for 20-30 minutes outside for the gate to open.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I think there's too much unnecessary subjects given in the name of VAC and SEC and AEC becuae the options are completely irrelevant to the course. I'm a bcom student why will I study political science or hindi. If it's important to have these many subjects then give us subjects which are relevant to our course. There's mandatory EVS subject too and I think I have learned all that thing already in school so there's no need to study that.
