Remarks

There is Entrance exam and you need to make it through the allotment process if you want a seat in the General category or else you could approach through management or NRI quota seats where you only need 50% and above in Physics Maths and Chemistry

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose the course because I didn't get the required course and I couldn't move to my home town and there is only this option. The Faculty are well qualified plus the college has a perfect system of curriculum where continuous and regular evaluations are made.

Internships Opportunities

Internship opportunities here are limited they would give assistance and most of the time we need to find it ourselves. For projects and all, there are many Gov and No Gov organizations that approach research grants and all. If you have the skill and all you could make it

Placement Experience

From the 5th sem onwards, students are given placement training which is completely free and everyone can go for it. Also, many students are getting placed also most placement happens from the CS department. Companies like TCS, VVDN, IBM etc have made derives here The highest package was 50L per annum And lowes was 200K per annum

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees are not high or low, I took admission in NRI quota so I need to pay 34375/- per Sem so yearly 68650/- Yeah there are scholarships for scheduled cast and all for others you need to apply outside the college

Campus Life

The geographical location of the college is at its best. And it's situated in a part of the western ghats. The climate is also good for a college atmosphere. Even though the college facilities for clubs and sports activity is limited. There is a basic level library and basic college structure The extra programs in college are limited

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Main companies visiting the campus are IBM , TCS ,TATA ELXSI,L&T, Cognizant,Toshiba,Vanenburg,Kalkitech,Sobha,Mrf ,Juspay,Dynolt and many more. 70 % students get placement Highest package is 16 lpa and average is 5 lpa After degree higher studies can be considered.

Placement Experience:

The placements here are quite good, but not great. Because only 50% of students in a class are getting placed. From S7 onwards the placements have been started for our department. But for other departments, from S8 only companies have arrived. For CSE department, many companies are coming which include Cognizant, SOTI, Mitsogo, EY, 6D Technologies, etc. Our senior batch students have placed at many companies in this. But comparing with other senior batches, the placements at our batch is really bad.

I didn't applied to any other college for this course. But i got enquiry that other college have fee structure way more than this. So i choose this college.
