VIT VELLORE - REVIEW

The intake of VIT is very huge, so according to me, they should reduce the intake. Moreover, there is a category system based on the ranks you obtain in VITEEE. There should be at most 3 categories, it will help in controlling the intake in VIT

I choose this course as it had more opportunities and the highest package among all the other branches. The faculty-student ratio is 120:1, each teacher has 2 slots where he takes class (morning and evening) and each slot has a batch of 60 students. All the teachers are Ph.D. or have done their graduation. There are a total of 3 exams, 2 CAT exams and one FAT exam, and the level of difficulty is moderate if you are regular in your studies

From the seventh semester, the students become eligible for campus placements. A lot of companies come for hiring, The highest package offered was by MOTORQ in 2022 and the CTC was more than 1crore .then the highest package was CTC of 45 lakhs by Microsoft, and the 1 companies like Goldman Sachs, De Shaw, Amazon, Morgan Stanley provide a package of more than 25 lakhs. There are also companies like Deloitte that offer 9-10 lakhs of CTC. Then comes the mass recruiter like TCS, Wipro, and cognizant which offer a CTC of 5 - 6 lakhs. Almost 90 percent of the students get placed in VIT who are sitting for placements without any doubt. I would mostly prefer to do a job after obtaining the degree

There are a total of 5 categories of fees, it depends on your VITEEE rank and in which fee category you are. There is a financial scholarship, it is purely on your VITEEE rank and your CGPA after 1st semester, and you family income. The average CTC is 8.5 lakhs per annum.

There are 2 fests namely Riveria and Gravitas. Rivera is the annual fest conducted in Feb, whereas Gravitas is the tech. fest conducted in September. They is a more than 1500 books and magazines in the library, you will most probably get all the books related to academics in the library There are a lot of sports and extracurricular activities and clubs you can join for exposure except for your academics. You have a lot of sports infrastructure like basketball courts, Gyms, Squash courts, badminton courts, Swimming pool. VIT MUNSOC is one such club run by students to help improve their communication skills

Irrespective of the room size there is one bed, one cupboard, one study table and chair, night lamp. The meal quality in the mess is average it's not so good, not so bad. The menu has a variety of food available and it changes every month. Talking about the mess caterers, you can change the mess caterer every month if you want. There is a portal on which you can register for hostels and you will get hostels allowed according to your CGPA the affordability depends on the type of hostel room you want. The cost of a hostel room varies from 40000 to 150000. You cannot rent a room outside VIT unless you are living with your guardian or parents.
