Remarks

Electrical Engineering course is very outdated and needs to be improved according to latest technologies in the market.

Entrance Preview

AIEEE Rank - 8069 After obtaining my Aieee rank, I was confused in NSIT ICE branch vs DCE Electrical branch. Finally, I choosed DCE because of its location, name and Quality of students that remain with you throughout the four years of journey.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

For the first two semesters, Course remain same for all the students of all branches. From 3rd semester, the core course starts for specific branches This process continues till 6th semester. A lot of opportunities exist for exploring the field, do researches and internships .

Internships Opportunities

If you have interest in Coding languages then Some companies provide internship opportunities to those people Otherwise for other branches people have to search by themselves for internships.

Fee Structure And Facilities

DTU's fee structure is totally feasible because of it being a government university. No other college can provide you so much of opportunities in terms of learning with that amount of fee. Mine was Rs 60000/- per year Hostel fee + mess fee is also low but Amenities are okayish only.

Fees and Financial Aid

Delhi Technological University provide Scholarships to some students whose family income is very low ( I dont remember the exact amount) But yes scholarships are provided to students based on income levels of their families

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Hostel facilities and mess food is not good, but for food there are other options as well which can be adjusted. Hostel and mess's fee is also low because of it coming under government. There are many PG's and flat options available outside college as well.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni Network is Awesome , you get recognition even after college and find it very helpful as times. Especially In getting referrals and pursuing masters , you can always find a senior or alum in that business or course.

Exam Structure

Exams are basicly taken on two levels : Mid Sem and end sem exams Mid sem exams are of 20 marks per subject. Mid sem exams contain only small amount of course. End term exams is very important and require a lot of hardwork and deep knowledge of subjects.

Admission

I prepared for AIEEE entrance and scored 8069 rank all india. In order to score in AIEEE, you have to have a very good command over physics, chemistry and maths (Covering aAll basic concepts) You need to fill your preferences for different branches which is alloted to you on the basis of your aieee rank, For the very first year, All the students go through the same course during which shifting of branches takes place.

Faculty

3.5

Faculty: 7/10 The faculty for electrical branch is not very good compared to other branches. Some of them are very knowledgeable, helps you in project and training. While most of the faculty of electrical is very baised on bookish knowledge but if you have a genuine interest towards electrical , you will make your way and a good amount of placement companies are there to settle your career in electrical engineering.

Placement Experience:

The annual placements at NIT Delhi are consistently getting better year by year where the top branches such as CSE, ECE, and IT are leading the way with their strong placement rates. Many students get hired at very attractive salaries by well-established companies like TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Microsoft, and Amazon. For example, the CTC of the best offers have reached as high as ?15–20 LPA in some instances. The Mechanical, Civil, and Electrical branches also contribute to the university’s overall placement record to some extent. Those students usually boost the available opportunities for themselves by taking up internships and off-campus offers. Moreover, the students who fail to get a job on the campus can still benefit out of the college atmosphere where the strong basics of coding, projects, and practical skills are taught which makes the students quite employable at startups, off-campus, or even when going for higher studies like M.Tech/GATE/abroad. To sum up, NIT Delhi is a very solid foundation for the students whether they want to have a career or continue with their education.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is relevant and comprehensive, with practical modules and industry-focused content that influenced my choice. It effectively bridges academic knowledge with real-world applications. However, adding more case studies and interdisciplinary approaches could enhance learning. Exams are well-timed but could better assess critical thinking. Teaching methods would benefit from integrating more interactive and hands-on sessions.
