Remarks

The College doesn't have an Entrance Examination. The admission is only Merit based. The merit is consist of 10th and 12th Level marks Percentile. The admission form is available on the College website. There are reserved seats for OBC, ST, and SC students.

I choose English honors because I love to read English literature. Another reason for applying for this course is the English subject is very easy. The faculty members are very nice. They are well qualified. They are helpful. And the exam is a semester system.

Class Size: 900Course Fees: INR 636 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

In my course, the fee per year is just Rupees 636. The other honors course have different fees structure. Mostly the Arts Stream fee is 636 per year. The university registration and enrollment fees are separate. SC and ST students get a discount. The fees are very Affordable.

Campus Life

There is an annual program named Mohsin Utsav. This fest is very popular in Hooghly District. The college campus is quite Large. A canteen is on campus. The canteen provides hygienic foods. There is a Library also.

We were held a class for upto 1hrs, thus we had 4 class a day. Sometimes it is boaring sometimes it becomes striking, it depends on the mood. It is to say little knowledge is a dangerous thing, if you don't read you cannot pass the semester examination. Although it will provide you a second chance. But with change of syllabus the exam pattern also change. You need to attain a total percentage of 75(%) to maintain you honours subject otherwise you would be regarded as programme course student.

You've to pass the 12th Examination with a science background and the marks you've got in the 10th Examination in Geography are also needed for preparing the merit list. Every year after the announcement of the State Board result college issues a notice for new admission and you can find it on the college website.
