Remarks
The admission Process was simple. In the beginning, we directly went to the administrative block. There we met Ms Shalini Reddy. We enquired about the fee and other things. We got an estimate about the fee and other things that are required. The next day we again went to AIT in the administrative block. There we were told to fill up the application form. I got the form, filled it needed 4 photographs. After that we were handed a receipt, nextly asked to pay the tution fee. There used to be a fee counter near the administrative block, we went there and submitted the semester fee along with the admission fee. Also had to pay additionally for the notebooks, id card, and Dress separately. I was then told to go near the library for collecting the remaining stuff (id, dress, etc). Overall it took 2 entire days for us to complete the admission process. One day in enquiring and collectig details about the college and other things and another day to do the admission formalities.
Course Curriculum Overview
Acharya Institute was an already made choice. I had a few friends who were a part of that institution and recommended Acharya. After completing 12th I had to do engineering in electronics. Apart from Acharya, I have enquired about a few more colleges too but lastly, I decided to take admission to Acharya. Before admission, I visited AIT. They have a beautiful campus spread over 120 acres. At that time the engineering building was recently changed. It was beautiful from in-out. Also, they had other facilities like proper labs, a library, there is a big stadium too. There were greeneries wherein one can sit and relax and also can study in peace. They had facilities for indoor and outdoor sports. It took around 5-6 hours in exploring the entire college. The course, so it was electronics and communication. Our lecturers were good. All have at least done their masters. Our batch started with 60 students. There was a total of 8 semesters in 4 years & every semsters there are 3 Internal Exams.
Placement Experience
After completing the 6th semester one is eligible to sit for placement. Companies used to visit every year. They has their standard conditions for appearing for the placement exams. On an average30-4% of students get selected for placement in the final year. Also if you have your luck then you might get selected in the 6th semester only.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure was average in Acharya. Not very high and not very low. There are more colleges in that area, and the fee and AIT name are more compared to all. Also every year we have to buy extra stuff such as notebooks (Internal notebooks, practicals Notebook). They were mandatory. About the placements, so yes a lot more companies come for the placement and you are eligible to sit after you are in the 6th semester. However different companies have their terms and conditions (Marks, current semester, etc) for students to appear for their placement exams. During placements, lecturers will for sure help in guiding the preparations. There are a few companies that used to appear every year to pick students. So lecturers are familiar with their process and help students accordingly. Overall there is an opportunity and many avails of it. Now it's also on the students how he grasps the opportunity.
Campus Life
There is an annual fest in the college called "ACHARYA HABBA" which is celebrated probably in the month of March or April. But that whole month is like a celebration period. There are multiple departments in Acharya and all celebrate and enjoy it. We had Ethnic Day during that time also. Where one can wear their cultural clothes. So there are students from different parts of the nation and all come up in their traditional attire. Habba is celebrated for 3-5 days in the big Stadium and every time a celebrity is invited as the Chief Guest. But for that whole month, some kind of celebrations used to happen in the college. This is complete fun. There is a library in every building where one can avail books also there is a central library. There is a stadium and along with that, there are small courts for basketball, badminton or other sports. There are multiple social groups run by acharya students which can be easily searched on Facebook.
